I help Claire mount Arthur first then try to calm him down before I also join on behind her and take the reins.
Arthur moves around a bit unsteadily at the new weight and I hold onto Claire at the waist with one hand just in case we're to fall.
Arthur finally calms down and I take control.
I tug the reins and he starts trotting out of the stables.
Claire giggles a bit and I smile to myself.
We are finally out of the stables and I look around.
"How about I show you the landscape?" She nods and I hold on tight to her before increasing the pace we are moving at.
We begin to approach the woods and I proceed to slow down.
"I'm happy you're smiling." I whisper into her ears and she stops smiling.
I can imagine her rolling her eyes right now.
We reach the woods but I don't let us enter at all.
I get down and hand the reins to Claire before walking into the woods and looking around. This place could be dangerous sometimes.
Satisfied I come back out to my mate who looks worried.
"Everything okay?" She asks and I smile at her.
"Nothing to worry about." She nods.
"How about we rest for a while?" I ask and she looks at me confused.
"Come, I'll help you down." She frowns disappointed and I help her dismount Arthur.
I hold onto his reins and lead us towards a big tree with a good shade.
I secure Arthur's reins around a fallen tree branch before finding a good spot then collapse on the group in a sitting position.
"What about my horse riding lessons?" Claire walks up to me and stares me down with both hands on her waist.
I feign tiredness and her expression changes to that of worry
She kneels down to me looking more concerned than I expect her to be and cups my face.
"What's wrong, you look tired all of a sudden." She stares into my eyes and I surprise her by crushing my lips on hers and pulling her closer.
She manages to pull out of our kiss and hits me on the chest before standing up annoyed.
"Seriously!" She exclaims and I laugh.
"You look cute when you're worried." I continue laughing and she throws a small stick in my direction.
She finally smiles at me and gets close enough for me to catch her by surprise again.
I grab her hand and pull her down then cuddle her on my lap.
She yelps but then relaxes and I push the hair from her face so I'll have access to her beautiful eyes.
She blushes and I can't help but love the shade of red on her face.
"You've become more handsy." She says and I chuckle.
"Can you blame me." I reply and she laughs before climbing off my lap and sitting next to me.
"Shoot!" I left the pamphlet in your office. She exclaims and I instantly chuckle.
"What's funny? You mother was very serious about me memorizing those notes." She speaks sounding serious.
"Don't worry she'll understand." I reply.
"That what? That her son took me out when I'm supposed to be reading and memorizing?" I look at her serious face and reach out to rub her cheek.
I chuckle and she playfully pushes my hand away.
"You're unbelievable." She scoffs and I stop laughing.
"I'll save you from her wrath, don't worry." I place a kiss on her hand and she chuckles.
"So what have you been up to?" She asks and I look at her.
"I mean I've missed two breakfast and lunch with you." She looks at me concerned.
"You forgot the part that we cuddle every night and try hard to keep our hands to ourselves before we sleep." She looks up and closes her eyes in annoyance.
"I'm just kidding little wolf." I chuckle and she looks at me.
I sit to face her and she also faces me crossed leg.
"Is this how it's going to be every morning?
You not showing up for breakfast and we spending our entire days away from each other only to meet at night?" I see the seriousness in her eyes and I sigh.
"No Claire. That's not how it was and that is not how it's going to be." I assure her by cupping her face with one hand and rubbing her cheek.
"A lot is going on right now but everything will be back to normal soon." I smile at her.
"Is it the curse?" She asks out of the blue and I reluctantly nod.
"But let's not talk about that now, right now I just want to be here in your arms." I say and she quickly nods.
She moves closer to the tree and leans her back on it and I place my head on her comfortable lap.
She begins to run her hand through my hair and I find myself in my own paradise.
"But what do you do when you are stressed?" She asks out of curiosity and I let out a deep breath.
"Well I either go for a run or drink some blood."
At the mention of blood her hand pauses.
"What kind of blood do you drink?" At that I sit up.
"Human blood." I reply looking straight into her eyes.
"What does it taste like?" I smile at the curiosity written in her eyes.
"Like an energy drink." I shrug and she nods.
"But sometimes I do get tired of the taste." I place my head back on her lap then place her hand in my hair.
"Well have you tried anything else?"
I shake my head.
"It's only human blood I can drink, all other creatures are exempted, werewolves are exempted."
I want to say all werewolves but you but I don't let the words come out. I don't want to scare her.
I mean when I think about her blood I don't only think of how good it will taste, probably like something I've never tasted before, but I also think about my self control.
Hybrids like me are very sensitive to the blood of our mates and that's the thing. Their blood is like a drug.
One drop and you're addicted, if care is not taken I can drink her dry killing her in the process.
That's not something I want, and it's also one of the reasons why I say she's not ready for me.
I can kill her.
But not to worry. My self control to her blood has been improving but I can't say that about my s****l attraction to her.
"So when are you going to give me horse riding lessons?" Her voice comes like a sweet melody waking me from my slumber.
I open my eyes to see Arthur staring at us.
I smile then sit up.
"Okay fine." I agree and Claire instantly smiles wide.
I chuckle at the sight as she walks over to Arthur and rubs him.

Claire's POV
Ethan finally teaches me some horse riding lessons before we arrive at the castle in time for a shower and some dinner.
He decides to head straight to the bedroom for his shower and I head to his office for my pamphlet.
When I get to the office I strangely find the door slightly open.
Before I can even open it wide I smell the scent of another person, a feminine scent.
And strange enough it's not a werewolf's scent. I take in a deep breath before I open the door wide and look straight ahead of me in disbelief.
