Jean Sunday had been a quiet day of reflection for Teddy. On Monday morning he woke refreshed from his ex­hil­a­rat­ing ride. His mind still held the view of an unimaginable beauty: Earth. He had accomplished the seemingly impossible. His sense of victory propelled him out of bed. Henry sat on the drawer with his eyes closed. Teddy stood in front of Henry and silently thanked him. He still didn't under­stand what Henry had done, but he realized it was not he alone who had flown the Thunderbird. Henry didn't open his eyes, yet Teddy felt the warm glow from him.
