Take-off
The Thunderbird plowed through the atmosphere at unbelievable speed. The wind whipped and swirled. Teddy called to the wind, and a warm, secure blanket of life-breathing air circulated, protecting him. But there was one other danger. The US air force was monitoring the sky for UFOs.
He decided not to orbit Earth but instead continue to the Moon and find the answer to the dancing colors posed by his dream. What had started this whole journey? Those colors must open to another world.
In a heartbeat, Teddy shot through Earth's atmosphere. The white and gray Moon of meteor impacts and ridges grew large. His dream of the dancing colors on the Moon's surface, jetting from an inky darkness, called to him.
Those colors had not behaved like the colors he had seen in the physical world.
