Destiny
Teddy's thoughts had consumed him until he looked out and saw in the far distance something red hanging in space. How long he had been traveling he couldn't tell, yet he didn't feel tired or hungry. He leaned over the steering wheel, focusing on that red dot in a sea of darkness. The dot grew fast, changing into a red disc. How could that be? There were glowing patches of red, darker red, brown and white. Mars! No oceans. No forests.
The Thunderbird navigated through the two moons and sailed beyond the Martian horizon. Teddy turned and searched for the living Earth. His eyes picked up a hint of blue. "Goodbye," he said.
