Josh looked at Keith, who smiled back at him. But Josh didn’t ask any questions; he simply headed towards the next room. He sat in the chair in front of the window, where he could check the street. Keith pulled another chair next to him and took out his notebook.
“Josh, are you ready for a short talk?”
The boy only glanced at Keith for a moment then turned back to the window again. He looked uninterested, but he finally nodded.
“All right. Great. Have you heard of hypnosis?”
Josh thought about this. “Yes, the magicians do that. They hypnotize the crowd sometimes, and then the people start acting weird. They do anything that the magician wants. They’ll even act like animals.”
“Yes, of course, that is one form of hypnosis.”
“Will you turn me into an animal too?” Josh asked seriously.
