I kept watching her as she was peeking through the car windows.
“What are you doing, Ava?” I asked her.
“Derek and Hannie walked out of the restaurant. They must be looking for us. We can't let them see us in the car, or else they will assume something different.” she said as she kept looking outside.
I let out a sigh and raised my head, and then I sat comfortably.
She turned to look at me, and her eyes showed how she panicked.
“What the hell are you doing? They will see you if you sit down.” she said.
“How are they going to see us?” I asked her.
“What kind of question is that? Can't you see they are outside? They will recognize your car and they will find us inside.” she said, looking at me.
