I watched the phone as it was ringing with his name on it. I was wondering if I should pick or not.
As it was about to end, I picked up the call.
“Thank goodness you picked. I thought you won't pick up at all.” he said.
“I was this close to not picking your call, but then I just decided to have mercy on you and just pick up. So what do you want to talk about?” I asked him.
“Actually the truth is I wanted to hear your voice and just talk to you.” he answered.
“Don't you have other people who you can talk to over there? Why are you now bothering me?” I asked him as I tried to hide that I was actually feeling happy hearing his voice.
“I am sorry if I am bothering you, but I honestly want to just talk to you. So tell me, how did your day go? Let's start from there.” he said
