Serenity's POV I finished putting the last of my clothing in my bag and zipped the top. Despite having been away from home for months, I didn't have many belongings with me. In a way, I was almost nervous to return to normal life. I barely remembered what it felt like to be a normal teenager, a mother, and a mate. For so long, the focus had been on simply staying alive that my brain had shifted away from actually living life. Once I had packed my bags up, a nurse came in and removed my IV. This was the final line I'd had to the hospital, the last reminder of the traumatic experience I was finally getting to leave behind. I felt free. I quickly changed out of the paper clothing they'd given me and into my own clothes. I felt a larger sense of freedom washing over me. I put my shoes on
