Chapter Thirty Four - Sleepless
Luka's POV The courtroom was alive with emotion of all kinds. Emma shook in my arms. My eyes darted around the room to see if anyone might take notice to me holding her too closely. I didn't want my parents to find out yet that I may have a second mate. I didn't want to worry Serenity. I needed to talk to an Elder alone before I made any moves. I pulled Emma a little closer to me and whispered for her to go to my room. I didn't want us to be seen leaving together and have any eyebrows raised. She nodded and left the courtroom to go to my room. My dad stopped me as I was leaving. He asked how I felt about everything that had happened, and I was honest in saying I felt a fair decision had been made. He accepted that answer and we said goodnight before separating.
