The mortified look on her parents was throwing connie off , there was nothing worse the doctors could tell her that could warrant that reaction. i mean what is worse than knowing your death date ? now she was the one to reassure her parents that everything was going to be fine despite being the sick one.

The doctor ignored her parents and started questioning Connie immediately as he he removed her hand from her parents grasp to examine it.Had the cancer spread to her upper body ? Connie couldn't help but wonder. " for how .long have you had this implant and who administered it?" he questioned while frowning. Connie was in a daze for a second. One of Mat's friends who happened to be the doctor in the private hospital did it four months ago . He had assured her that it was fine and when Connie had gone back a week later complaining of dizziness and nausea he had dismissed her saying those were normal side effects and gave her some pills which she had taken without even confirming what they were supposed to treat.

The doctor looked at her with pity.He could not imagine a grown woman would be that careless with their health the implant was dangerous it had been banned in all hospitals and declared a hazard, but a private hospital had it. The question of how they obtained it when it had been discontinued for years remained a mystery to him. But for now he needed to save this damsel. He instructed her to stay still as he yanked the thingy. Connie let a sharp yelp but it was so quick she almost forgot it had happened. her parents stared at her questionably all these years mat had said Connie could not get pregnant but here she had an implant .

The doctor informed her that there might have mixed up her results as he did not see any cancerous cells in her body. but from the report he had read earlier, she was supposed to start her chemotherapy and radiology sessions today he could not figure why they were doing it because clearly the drugs they were administering to her were sleep inducing drugs maybe they wanted to harvest her organs who knows the kind of syndicate they were running there. This was his best friend's daughter and he was going to avenge for her. her father Damien had saved him countless times and now it was time to return the favor.

Connie was still not believing it she did not have cancer, so why was she feeling pain down there.after the doctor explained that the implant was poisonous and that it was the reason for all the dizziness and weight gain Connie was relieved. she let the nurses inject her with the medication to reverse the damage as she slowly lost her consciousness due to them being so strong

Damian watched his daughter sleep. Lost in his own thoughts once again because he couldn't figure out what was happening. He had never liked that boy mat and Kaylee from projects he had warned her to stay away from people from lower class but connie being the goody two shoes had refused to listen and he had decided to let her be. this was bound to happen eventually but he did not know the extend of their evil deeds. if he did, he was going to destroy them and everything they loved. He had sponsored those two using other people's name from high school all the way to university so that their daughter could be with her friends throughout all the stages of her life. so when Connie requested them to move to a smaller house so that her friends didn't feel left out or even when she said she wanted to marry mat they supported them but now they seemed to have a hand in the suffering of his baby.

"Maria ", however, felt like it was karma. Many people had died from the company her sister had established. she knew it was just nature recovering its debt. she could only think about the only company that wou;ld have audacity to manufacture such a thing and all figures pointed to only that company. Nevertheless, she was glad Connie was out of danger .
