CHAPTER03

She needed to get out of this place as fast as possible.she called the nurse ."i want to go home", she told her leaving no room for argument. " your doctor said you need to start your chemotherapy sessions tomorrow so you cant really just decide to discharge yourself'" , the nurse insisted. Connie wasn't going to beg her. she was going to die either way so why go through all that pain for nothing? Once the nurse left she silently crept and left the place.

She flagged a taxi and soon she was on her way to their house.she hurriedly moved to their bedroom. the pain in her lower abdomen intensified due to her this , she had for a moment forgotten that she was a cancer patient . The bedroom was in a complete mess . bed sheets were strewn all over the floor and so were wash clothes and tissues. She had left the room clean and now this!Older Connie would have gotten into work and cleaned the mess but she was here for one mission to get her documents and leave . she was not going to carry the clothes nor the jewelry. she would be back if she didn't die and those two were going to answer but she doubted it. her body felt weak and she managed to drag herself downstairs where fortunately one of her fathers men had arrived to drive her to the airport. she could not help but shudder when she imagined what had happened to her if she was all alone .

He noticed her condition and offered to drive her to the nearest hospital which was state owned. they administered some pills and had her having full meal before letting her go .her phone buzzed with new messages but she ignored it as she focused on eating as much as she could as she could not afford dying before meeting her parents. Atleast that would make her happy. at this realization she knew she had to let kaylee's husband Mikael know about her escapades since he was just too innocent to suffer in the hands of that evil woman.

once she safely boarded her father's private plane she finally had the energy to go through her phone. Mat and Kaylee had texted her saying how sorry the were for not being around but connie saw right through their bulshit and ignored them. she scrolled down her contacts till she reached Mikaels name. she had never texted him despite knowing him almost her life .He was the son of one of her fathers business partners but Connie had been heads over heels about Matt so she never really paid attention to him till he got with kaylee five years ago. He was the silent guy who seemed to be lost in his own world so it baffled connie how he managed to stay with kaylee for this long as kaylee was not the loudest and the most outgoing person ever. her hands lingered over the key pad as she debated whether to actually text him or not eventually she settled for a simple hi .

Memories from 5 years ago hit her. Kaylee had announced happily how she was going to get married .the two best friends had rejoiced as they were both going to be wives. They had spend years fantasizing about their big days and finally it was becoming a reality. they went shopping together did their fittings together even arranged the weddings together. Connie's wedding happened first as it was a large event while Mikael had insisted that he only wanted a small ceremony. this had saddened Kaylee very much . Connie spend time reassuring her that she would be okay all for her to turn around and sleep with her man.This really hurt .

The whole flight she was fighting tears. all 26 years of being alive this was the first time some one had hurt her this much. she decided to close her thoughts and get some rest. The next time she woke up they were landing in Italy.
