In this paranormal romance story, Kiara is engaged to marry Ethan, the Alpha of their pack. However, on the eve of their wedding, Ethan goes missing, and Kiara's life is turned upside down. Three years later, Ethan returns, but Kiara's feelings have shifted towards his brother, Asher.

As Ethan tries to reclaim his place as Alpha and Kiara's affections, tensions rise within the pack. Kiara discovers that Ethan's disappearance was not just a random event, but was connected to a secret meeting he had two weeks prior. She also learns that Ethan had murdered Matteo's father, leading to his kidnapping by Matteo.

Meanwhile, Asher's anger and resentment towards Ethan grow, and he makes a deal with Matteo to use dark magic to take the throne and Kiara. However, Matteo's true intentions are revealed, and Asher must confront the consequences of his actions.

As the story unfolds, Kiara finds herself caught in the middle of the conflict between the two brothers. She must navigate her feelings for both Ethan and Asher, while also confronting the secrets and lies that have haunted their pack for years.

Chapter one.
Chapter one Kiara POV “Kiara.” A deep familiar voice sounded through the phone. The caller was no other than Asher. My mate brother. “What’s up?” “Ethan is missing.” “What?” I asked with incredulity. “What do you mean he is missing?“ “He can’t be found.” “That’s absurd. A grown man can’t go missing. Let alone an Alpha.” My tone went high. As my mind frolicked with all the bad things that could have happened to him. It made my heart beat faster. “We haven’t seen him since the last 48 hours. So he’s missing.” He sounded pissed. On a normal day, I would be scared about it, but this wasn’t a normal day. Nothing is normal about calling me by midnight to tell me that my fiancé is missing the night to our wedding. “Have you tried calling him? Tried going to his favorite places?” “If I haven’t do you think I would have declared him missing?” He shouted through the phone. “Stop yelling.” “Stop frustrating me.” I took another breath. Ethan can’t be missing. He’s the most practical man I know. So if he’s missing it’s probably because he wants to be missing. But why? Did he not wish to marry me? I thought he loved me. He sucked at showing it. But I knew he loved me. “I’m sorry if I came across as frustrating. But this is all much to take.” “Just calm down. I’m still working with the guys to find him. But I just called to let you know in case you don’t see him at the wedding tomorrow.” My heart squeezed at his words. And I fought back the tears threatening to fall, “Sure. Thanks.” My voice was low and hoarse. And the call disconnected. I was on my bed when I received the phone call. And now I just curled in it. Trying to still my worried and pained heart. Maybe he got into an accident. But that would mean that he is dead. No. Heaven forbids. Maybe he got kidnapped. He has lots of enemies. So maybe this is one of their acts. Or worst case Maybe he got tired of me and left. But That’s ridiculous. Right? I stayed awake that night with many thoughts. And The next morning. Which is the wedding day. My mother came to my room and met me still curled up in bed with dried tears on my face. I told her exactly what Asher told me, and she sat on the bed beside me and cuddled me up. “He left right? He realized he’s too good for me.” “No sweetie. Of course not.” Her soft voice always had a way of calming me down. But this time my worry was much greater. Her scent smelt like peace. And I cuddled more into it. “How can you be so sure?” “Cause I know Ethan. He’s not like that. He’s the Alpha of our pack. And He wouldn’t just run away from his responsibilities.” The wedding ended up being postponed till further notice. With my dad hellbent on blaming Asher for the situation. Did I mention that my father was a stern man who hated Asher for his dangerous and carefree life? Well, the whole scenario just made my head hot and banging. By night mother left me, and I cried again. This time both my parents had tried coming in, but I refused them. I locked the door. I didn’t know how long it was, but I lay on the bed. And when I heard Asher on the door. I sprang up and went to it thinking he got news about Ethan. “Did you find him?” I asked in a rush. My heart simmering with hope “No, we are still on the lookout.“ and just like that the hope died. I was about to shut the door on his face when he held it firmly. “What do you want?” I asked glaring at him. “You look like a mess.” “What does it matter? It’s not like I have any reasons t pretty up.” My shoulders were slumped as I said that, and Asher took the opportunity to slide inside the room. There was no way I could have stopped him from entering my room. Asher has always been larger than me. Or that anyone in general. With his huge biceps hands. His blond hair and chiseled face. He sure had the looks of a model and a warrior. And I had once caught myself ogling him. Well, more than once. “Get out,” I told him as I went under my bed. Wanting to wallow more in my despair. “Not a chance. You could do something like kill yourself. And then when Ethan returns he would blame me for not taking care of his woman.” “What makes you think he would return? He’s probably ran away from me after realizing I was worthless to him.” “Whooo Whooo. Easy there. You know Ethan isn’t like that.” I rolled my eyes and turned away from him. He sat down on the bed next to me. “Ethan never runs away from his responsibility or even a challenge. He’s the type to stay and fight. No matter how hard the situation may look. So trust me I know for sure that this wasn’t his doing.” I sat up at that. “Then where is he?” I pouted. “I’m on it. And I promise you we will find him, and you two will get married.” His eyes softened and somehow it made the burden in my chest lighten. Maybe it must be cause I had never seen this side of him. He was always so edgy and dangerous-looking. So it sure felt nice to have access to this level of softness from him. I held his hands. “Thank you. It means a lot to me.” His hazel eyes drifted to my hands and then to my face. And for a moment we just got lost in each other eyes. Till a loud ringing from his phone erupted the moment. “Uhm..I gotta take this. I’ll see you around.” He said in awkwardness. Not quite reaching my eyes. I nodded. And watched as he walked away. That was strange and good. But why do I feel as though I have done something bad? Days went by, weeks, months, and even years. And there was still no sight of Ethan. At this point, I was almost giving up.
