Chapter 17

Third Person POV:---

'I wonder what your best friend Sarah would have to say when she gets to know that you are crushing over her fiance.'

"Nora." Dominic mutters, worry shrouds his face, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah." She whispers still in a daze with a weak smile on her face.

From the past few days, she was getting threatening message from an unknown number. First she ignored it, thinking someone was messing with her. But she started feeling anxious as she continued receiving messages. She opens the messages that she had got from the last few days.

'You had turned gorgeous, I must say. Sometimes I need to remind myself that I need to hate you. So that I can kill you.'

'Like Mother like Daughter, an amazing actress. Do you really think that no one knows that your relationship with Dominic is fake?'

She was bought out of her thoughts, when one of her classmates, rushed towards them and asked with urgency dripping in her voice, "Did you guys got the news?"

Nora glance at Dominic to know if he had any idea about what she was talking about. He shake his head in 'No'.

Massaging her temple, Jasmine exclaims, "Seems like you both aren't aware. Well Sarah and Ryan are no longer engaged. Ryan had broken their engagement."

Silence overtook them, as they let her words sink in their mind.

"WHAT?"

"WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

Nora and Dominic said at the same, while she said in shock tone. While he sounded somewhat a little happy.

Nora throw him a look to which he shrugged and whispers so that only she can hear, "Now don't give me that look!! We accomplished our mission, didn't we?"

"Have you seen Sarah?" Nora asked concerned.

"Nope."

Just then someone clears their throat on the intercom, attracting theirs and other students that was standing beside them in the locker area attention.

'I am Sorry.'

Nora instantly knew that voice in a heartbeat. It was Ryan's.

'I know sorry wouldn't be enough for the pain and sufferings I have caused you. But still I would like to apologise for pushing you away, unknowingly playing with your feelings, telling you we weren't meant to be.'

Nora bite her bottom lip and her heart started beating wildly. As she realised he was talking to her through intercom.

'You were right all this time. That we indeed had a connection. The connection that means the world to me. I kept denying myself thinking that you were wrong. But you know what? You were absolutely right all this time.'

A coy smile was playing on Dominic's lips, as he placed his hand on Nora waist and pulled her closer and place a kiss on her forehead. And whispers, "Seems like our Fake Relationship finally came to an end." Tears stung her eyes as her lips curved upwards in a smile.

'You had a knack of suprising me everytime. Whether it be stealing a kiss out of me in front of everyone or yelling at me for being wrong.'

Everyone eyes briefly peek to Nora and until Jasmine voices out hopefully, shaking her head. "No it, can't you, Nora."

'I am in love with you. And only you.'

Nora took a deep breath and was literally on the verge of tears. Her heart was swelling with happiness as well as guilt. She felt happy yet sad. It felt so right and yet so wrong. This day itself should be the happiest day in her life. She herself was waiting for his confessions. And she finally got one.

'Miss Nora Storms.' Said in his deep voice, which seems slightly nervous. 'Would you like to be my better half, my Girlfriend?'

His voice reached her skin like a caress. Pushing her heart to bang against her chest walls. A shuder rocked her body. As she fought back the tears that was trying to escape her eyes, as she froze in her place.

'I'll be waiting for you at the place where it all started. Where our first kiss happened. Your lover, Ryan Knights.'

A single tear escapes her eyes, as everyone eyes once again fell on her. Dominic who stood beside her gave her hand a squeeze and said, "Nora, Go. Your Prince Charming might be waiting for you there."

Biting her lip, she nod. She started walking towards her destination as everyone made way for her. Until she turned around and run towards Dominic giving him a tight hug, taking him by suprise. She finally let the tears win, as she sniffles, "Thank you, Dominic."

"All my pleasure, Gorgeous." He replies with a genuine smile, as he hugged her back.

Until he says, "You better hurry, Nora. Or else your Prince Charming might fall for someone else."

Chuckling, she pulled back and pouts, "You seem to be in a hurry."

"Because I am. I need to check on the love of my life. She might be devastated right now." He mutters, as his ears turned slightly pink.

Raising her eyebrows, she exclaims, "Who's the lucky girl?"

"You will know when the times right."

With that he started walking towards the Library, as Nora started walking towards her destination.

Just when she started walking downstairs towards her destination, the students in their first years started giving her red rose. Saying, "You are damn lucky."

"This is so sweet."

"He's a keeper. So you better treat him right."

Her cheeks were painted a dark shade of red till the time she reached outside the college building with dozens of roses in her hands. She felt so loved and important at that time.

There standing in between the crowd, Ryan was continuously roaming his hand through his messy hair, he seems too nervous. Just when his eyes fell on hers, his heart stopped for a second, taking in her beauty. Even without a hint of make-up on her face, she looked too beautiful that it took his breath away. The blush on her face made her look more beautiful than ever. He loved seeing her blushing.

People make the way for Nora so she can walk towards Ryan. Helding his stare, she walk towards him slowly. All the pain that he caused started flashing in front of her eyes. Tears escapes her eyes.

Instead of going on one knee, he went on two, when she was in front of him. With his hand shaking he removed the box from his back pocket and bring the ring out.

With tears shining in his own eyes, he said, "I know I don't deserve you. But still I would like to be selfish right now."

A single tear escapes his eyes, but he continued, "I know I can't undo all the pain and miseries I had caused you. But I promise I wouldn't repeat that ever again. I will make sure your life with me would be full of laugh, smile and beautiful moments. Like other lovers, we don't have many good moments but the moments we had yet mean so important and special to me."

Unknowingly, Nora's face was wet by her own tears, as she held his stare, which was full of promises, guilt, vulnerability and.....love. A war was going beneath her, between her mind and her heart. Her mind was telling her, 'He doesn't mean what he's saying. Remember how much you had suffer just because of this jerk'. While her heart said, 'Everyone makes mistakes, so does he. He do deserve a chance. Afterall he loves you'.

"I love you, Nora Storms. All this time I had unknowingly fallen for you, whether it be at our first kiss, you beating up that guy. Yelling at me and at the time I was engaged with Sarah."

"Would you make me happiest person in this whole universe, by being my better half, my Girlfriend?"

The war that was going beneath her, came to a conclusion, she gave all the roses to the girl standing beside her. She dropped to her knees, took his face in her hands and wipes the tears with her thumb. While her own was streaming down her face.

All this time, the students that was standing around the both, was filming the whole thing. Some had tears in their eyes too and was curious what Nora's answer is going to be. While some girls were glaring their boyfriend, for that proposing them in such beautiful way.

"On making my way here, I was so mad at you, that I thought I wouldn't gave away so easily. I wanted you to suffer the way I did."

Sadness overtook his features, as he thought she was going to say no. But she took him by suprise again!!

Her lips claim his, her tongue slides against his and there's so much feeling in it. Ryan froze for a second, as his heart flipped in his chest. Then, his tongue fought against his, softly sucking and biting her lower lip. Nora allowed him to have complete control over the speed and intensity of this kiss. He keeps it soft and concise, as if asking for forgiveness through this kiss. As if he wanted her to remember this kiss her whole life.

When the kiss finally breaks, he brushes the tip of his nose against hers.

"I don't know why, but my anger seems to fade away. I love you too, Ryan Knights. And I love to be your Girlfriend."

She pulled away, as she exclaims seriously, "But I would like to warn you. Our relationship might not be as you expect. You need to make up for not treating me right for all this time. You need to spoil me."

A small smile warms its way across his mouth, he whispers against her lips. "Oh trust me, I would love too."

He enters the Library to find it empty, since everyone was outside the college building, watching two lovers getting united.

He take slow steps, his eyes wandering around finding the person he came here to look for. Until he hear someone sniffles around the corner. His feets took him from where the sounds were coming. His heart broke as he saw her sitting on the ground with her back to the wall, with her bag and books beside her. Her long hairs, were shielding her face from him. But just by her presence, he knew it was her.

Walking towards her, he stop a foot away from her, hands sliding into his pockets. Making her look up and glance at him. And his heart again broke, as he saw her tear drenched face. He felt agitated at seeing her in this state. Her cries were crushing his insides. Her once bright eyes were dull, void of any happiness only pain.

"D-Do-Dominic....." Her voice breaks, as a new set of tears break free from her eyes.

She started picking up her books and bag all the while shivering a little. She abruptly stand up and passes by him to get the hell away from him. When he grips her wrist and turned her around so that her chest collided with his.

"Are you alright?" He asked softly, as he stare at her, while she was hiding from his gaze.

"Let me go. Don't act like you care." She tried pushing him away, only to get his hand wrapped around her waist and pulled her even more closer. Till the point they share the same air.

"You very well know that how much I care about you." He stated honestly.

A loud fake chuckle escapes her lips, as her eyes finally met his. "That's why you helped Nora to get Ryan back?"

"They both loved each other. They just needed a little push." Dominic justified.

A tear escapes her eyes, as she growled. "What about me? Didn't you see my love for him?"

He pulled her in his arms, closer to his heart. They were so close, now. She could smell his scent and his warmth. That was all it took her to sob harder.

"I loved him......" She hiccups in her soft wobbly voice. " For years..... And it took him a second to...... break my........ heart."

"I...... want to..... hate him. But this hard of mine isn't....... listening to..... me."

"What's so special about him?" He blurted out, taking her by suprise.

"Tell, me Sarah! What's so special about him? That made two smart and beautiful girls fell for him."

"D-Do-Dom....." She stutters, as her eyes finally met his, as a gasp escapes her lips as she saw his eyes welling up with tears, she wiped it away with her hands, fierce protectiveness rising inside her. His eyes glimmered with pain for her.

He held her hand, which was earlier wiping his tears and bought it on his left chest, where his heart was underneath.

"It beats for you. I loved you way before you started loving him and he fell for you."

Her heart is beating too fast. Dangerously fast.

Losing his grip on her, he took a step back. He whispers, "Heck, I still love you. And you what, it hurts, seeing you like this."

She clench her fingers to keep them from shaking.

"Please, then don't be." Sarah pleaded backing away, her voice fragile and uneven. She's shaking her head in denial and she's looking away from him. "I know how that feels, when the person you love doesn't return the same feeling."

"If only that was easy. Stoping the love that you feel for someone else." He fake chuckles.

He turns to leave, but not before stating out loud, "Don't be so harsh on yourself, Sarah. There are people who care for you and loves you. All you need to do is be a little strong, move on and fall for the right guy. Who treats you like a Queen."

Nora who had a smile on her face and was lost in her thoughts, walked out of the class. When she bumped into someone, she automatically said, "I am so sorrryyyy---." She stopped mid sentence as she gasped, when her eyes fall on the person she bumped into. "Sarah...."

Her once makeup face was bare of any. She wore a normal outfit unlike the designer that she used to dressed up always. She didn't look like Sarah, she knew. Instead, she looked like a stranger to her.

"Is everything alright?" Nora asked concerned.

"Leave Ryan for me......." Sarah pleaded.

Nora look at her with disbelief. Totally taken aback by what she said just now.

"SARAH----" Sarah cuts Nora off.

"Please, Nora. Leave him."

"I am madly in love with him." She said with her teary eyes, that broke Nora's heart.

"If not, you will see my dead face."

Nora whole body got numb. It was getting hard for her to breath.

Her eyes roams around until it found his. 'Ryan Knights', the person who stole her heart. But also her best friend, Sarah too.

He was walking towards Nora with a big smile on his face, making her heart skips it beat.

A tear slips from her left eye, just by the thought of losing him.

At that moment, Nora knew how much he means to her. She cannot even imagine her life without him.

Right at that moment, she made a decision which she knew that she will regret for the rest of her life.
