The Rogue's Alpha

Wynter’s P.o.V. Where are we, Eden? I was trying not to be scared, but it was hard when I had no idea where I was in this land. We crossed the ocean about two days ago. I believe that means we are in Wheynia, but honestly I have no idea, Wynter. I felt tears run down my cheeks. We will be fine. Look over there to your right. There’s a lake over there. Let’s go over there and you can play in the water for a little while. Okay. I slowly walked over to the lake. I knelt down next to the water and put my hands in the ice cold water. I shivered for a moment before laughing. I smiled to myself. This was a good idea, Wolfie. Thanks! I heard Eden chuckle, but before either of us could say anything I felt something starting to approach behind me. I whipped around and stood looking at two young boys who stood on the other end of the clearing. They smiled before walking towards me. They seemed to be about my age, which made me a little less nervous. Before they reached me I got a good look at both of them. The one the right had fair skin with super blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. The one on the left had tan skin with black hair and cool gray eyes. His eyes seemed almost cold and warm at same time. Such an odd combination. They reached me and smiled warmly at me. The one on the right reached a hand towards me. “I’m Kendrick. My companion is Kade. What’s your name?” I smiled at him and shook his hand before looking to the other boy, Kade. Kade smiled and shook my hand as well. “My name is Wynter. Are you two alone?” “Except for each other……yeah. Our parents just abandoned us. What about you, Wynter,” murmured Kade. I nodded my head solemnly. Kade looked down at his feet. I looked over my shoulder at the lake before turning back towards them. I immediately noticed that Kendrick had a glow in this eyes. “I have a great idea then!” Kade rolled his eyes before muttering, “What’s that, Kendrick?” “How about the three of us band together? I am sure we can survive by ourselves. We might even be able to build a pack some day.” “Then we need someone with alpha blood and that can lead. I don’t know about Wynter, but both of us only are betas,” murmured Kade gruffly. Before a fight could start, I clear my throat. “I would love to stay with you two. As far as building a pack, who would follow rogues? Just other rogues. Besides you do have someone with alpha blood now. My father is an alpha. He mated my mother, but she died giving birth to me and he resented me for it. Six months ago, he abandoned me stating he wanted nothing to do with me and would build a new family. So, if others joined us, I could be alpha. I don’t know if I will be any good at it, but with you two standing next to me I know we can do fine!” We traveled together for six months. Getting to know each other. Learning to tolerate each other. Learning to survive without any help. Until one day we ran into several other wolves. Four wolves. They were different colors of brown and they moved well together. “Hey,” I yelled at them since they were across the meadow from us. Slowly, they backed back into the woods before coming back out in their human forms. All four were boys about our age. The lead boy had dark skin, black hair, and chocolate brown eyes. The boy on his right had tan skin, pale brown hair, and caramel brown eyes. The boy on his left had tan skin, pale brown hair, and pale brown eyes. The boy behind them all had fair skin, honey brown hair, and soft caramel eyes. The lead boy stretched his hand towards me. “Name’s Kody. On my right is Ethen. On the left is Cole. Behind us is Seth. What’s your guys names?” “I’m Wynter. This is Kendrick on my right and Kade on my left. What brings you four out here?” “Not much. I guess we are just trying to find somewhere to belong. Do you three mind if we travel with you guys? If not we will just leave.” I could see that the statement was hard for him to ask. I smile warmly at him. “We would love for you four too! We were thinking of maybe starting a pack if possible.” He smiled brightly at me. “Well, if it helps you got three wolves with delta blood and Seth has both gamma and delta blood. We are wondering who he will take after.” I grinned at them with excitement. I was going to like these four almost as much as I liked Kendrick and Kade. They were right we could do this, and we are going to do this. We will build our own pack even if it took years. Even if it was a small pack. I was determined to be a great alpha and to find a following.
