Chapter seventeen

#The attack

Violet's pov

I don't know when I would be spared another chance to know if Peter had done it but I was lucky when I could give him the poison. Luna Eliza and Mia kept the organisers busy with not only decorations but helping me to prepare for a Luna ceremony that would not work as planned. Everything is all messed up I just wished I and Frank's plan come out a success. I can't wait to see the look of pain, fear and shock while we execute our plans. If truly Peter gave the Alpha the poison as instructed then hopefully he will be dying slowly before he even knows it. When everyone will be wondering what's wrong with Alpha Collins then Frank will attack.

Ever since this plan came up Sasha has been refusing to talk to me but I don't really care that much. It's like Frank is the only one who understands how I feel for this pack I'm abandoning. Rogue or no rogue I no longer want the safety for Starlight pack not even when they prove to feel kindness and pity towards me. I am doing this for my parents especially dad.

'What are you thinking girl? I will advice you lighten up your face. Come on its your Luna ceremony' Mia said to me while standing besides me as she works on my hair. I smiled and look at her through the mirror in front of me. I wanted only her to fix my hair for me. I had a soft spot for her as a sister but here I am trying to destroy her home and break her brother's heart too.

'Do you even think that I might be a good Luna? 'I asked her. I wanted to know what she thinks of me handling this pack just in case.' Hmmm...I can't really say but I know one thing for sure is that if it was indeed the moon goddess who made you Aaron's mate then definitely you will do great' she replied. Maybe she was right about me being a Luna but I don't want anything to do with Aaron, I don't know if apart from the mate bond whether I felt something for him.

Later that evening: Twenty minutes before the start of the ceremony..

Aaron was looking devastatingly handsome in a brown t shirt and navy blue trousers. He had alot on his mind first especially Violet. He was outside, standing by James side as they welcome and exchange greetings with guests. He couldn't believe that finally he would be made Alpha today while having his Luna by his side.

While Aaron was waiting for the ceremony to start in the next twenty minutes, Voilet came out of the pack house with Mia, Leila and some omegas trailing along with her. She is wearing a white dress with voilets entwined into a tiara on her head. She looked very beautiful but deep down in her heart she was unhappy. Immediately Aaron sets his eyes on her, he went towards her direction. 'You look very beautiful' he said holding her hands. He inhaled and his senses were filled with the smell of voilets and vanilla. She smiled and replied 'Thank you and you look not so bad yourself. I love the brown t shirt on you'. Wait what in her damn minds was she doing, when did she starts to love what he wore? She thought. As she looked up into his face she found him smiling, one of his rare smiles the one with his two dimples showing.

'I hope you are enjoying the evening and wow!..the interior designers have done a great job here' Voilet said looking at everywhere but at Aaron. He didn't reply immediately rather took notice of every emotion she was feeling and one of them was nervousness.

He sighed and said 'Yeah the evening is enjoyable now with you by my side. The decorations aren't as lovely as you are, you are far more appealing to me' he whispered near her ear emphasizing on the word appealing. She blushed but didn't know why it sent shivers down her spine.

As she was about to reply him, Luna Eliza walked up to them and they greeted each other and hugged. 'Voilet how are you? Your gown is beautiful' Eliza complimented her dress. 'I am fine and thank you' Violet said. She wished her luck for her ceremony then left them to go meet her mate Alpha Collins.

Can this evening get any better she sighed as she thought. While she and Aaron were sharing greetings with guests, Alpha Collins then announced the starting of the Luna ceremony right then. Everyone gathered together, the pack members stood on the left side but forming a semi circle while the Alpha household stood on the right side. Voilet started praying for luck in her mind as the Alpha addressed the audience.

'We are gathered here to witness the rise of a new Alpha and Luna. Its an honor for me to welcome forward my son Aaron and his mate Violet' Alpha Collins said. Both of them walked towards him and knelt down while he proceed to take a cup and a knife from the table. As he was about to take and cut their wrists he began to vomit blood holding his chest. Aaron, James, Luna Eliza, Sten and Steve rushed to him trying to know what's happening while the pack members screamed in shock. Just at that same moment they were all under attack by rogues.
