Hope's Pov

I was sleeping peacefully in my bed, which seemed like the most comfortable thing to me. But my precious moments of sleeping was interrupted by the alarm going off.

I opened my eyes slowly, realizing that today was the beginning of the new chapter of my boring life. I was going to become a normal teenager, like everyone out there.

I felt kinda nervous about going to school for the first time of my entire life. It felt a little weird, to tell the truth. How would the students act like, would they be nice to me? What about the teachers? Ugh... Let's stop thinking about this, or I'm gonna go crazy.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth, chose a simple outfit to wear and went downstairs to have some breakfast.

It felt so weird having breakfast without my father, or not hearing his voice while I woke up. But I had to get used to this. He had his own life, his career and I wasn't going to be the reason for him to leave everything.

After my mother left, saying that she wanted to take care of herself and her life instead of taking care of me all the time, my father has never left my side. We have been together all the time, he tried everything to fight with my illness, he had always been smiling in front of me so that I could feel better, but I know that he was struggling inside. Of course, watching your own daughter die isn't easy, but he was too strong to show his pain. That's why I loved him more than anything.

After I had my breakfast, I got up to leave the house. As I'm bad at driving, I decided to walk to school.
