Scarlett's pov
"For a second there I thought you weren't going to show up," Asher commented as I approached him.
"I'm sorry, I overslept. I guess I was more tired than I thought." I muttered as I stopped in front of him.
"Understandable, I usually have that effect on females." He informed me with a wink and I rolled my eyes. How could he be so chirpy so early in the morning?
"Come on, let's get started." He announced as he turned and began walking. I slowly followed behind him, noting how sparse the men on the training grounds were.
"I thought you trained your men every day?" I asked and Asher turned back to me.
"We do but Silas decided to take them out on an exercise this morning, which is why the grounds are this scanty," he explained and I nodded silently.
