Chapter Ten

Settled down onto some sand, I start to explain why I am back; but it may take a while. I decide, I am going to have to start from the beginning.

"So, once I got back from talking with you guys, I had made a vow to kill Valentine. But when I got back, he was so worried and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. His wife left him to go start a new life with a totally different guy and get married again without anything, not even a goodbye".

My eyes drifted from Tamani's for a second, I don't know what I am doing I think that has been made perfectly clear and to be honest I just want to get to know my dad. I know that he has done really evil does, but nobody is born evil and my mother is partly to blame for the way he is.

"So I have decided instead of killing him, I would like to help him. He is our father after all and when I got up this morning I made him a promise that I would find our mother, but I can't do it alone, I need your help. Please, will you guys help me. Help me fix wonderland and save our father, please".

They're all looking at me, I have a bad feeling that they're not going to help. I guess I'm going by myself then if they won't help.

"We will help, but on one condition. When we find our mother Rose and if our father still reeks havoc on wonderland, then we will kill him. No but, no more ideas; we can not let Valentine be the death of us all".

My mind is reeling, this is not what I had expected. If we kill Valentine it will make us just as bad as him, but what other choice do I have? I need their help.

"So will you agree with us little miss, or will you side with your father"?

I thought he would have agreed with me, Dimitri and I have always been close. But now I don't know what's changed, I guess I am going to have to agree with their terms if I want them to help me.

"Fine I agree to your terms, but if all this goes wrong and our father takes us down with him; just know that I will always love you Dimitri. No matter what happens. friendship is always thicker than blood. So I agree, but I also have a condition of my own. If we do find mum, I want to question her first before we take her back to valentine. If you guys don't agree, then I will do this on my own. Are you guys still in or not"?

"Yeah okay we're in. always and forever. I promise".

Everyone choruses in with him.

"Thank you guys, I really appreciate it and I will not let you down. This will work, just as long as you all have a little bit of faith in me and the fact that I can do this".

They all nod and I look at Tamani, he nods again and smiles. I still need to talk to him about what happened the other day and why he didn't tell me that he was a prince, but now isn't a very good time to say anything. I'm better off just leaving the subject alone for now. we have all decided to set off tomorrow morning, so as soon we have found a mushroom type of house, we settle in.

                                           DREAM STATE: 

I'm running through the woods, when this freaky tall and oddly familiar guy comes running out at me. A s******c smile plastered on his face, A shiver runs down my smile as I remember the man I had tried forgetting and I start running as fast as my little legs will allow.

"Run as fast as you can Rosette, you know that you will never be able to escape from me. I'll get my way with you, just like I have every other time. You are now apart of me Rose, I have left my imprint on you and as much as you want to forget, I know for a fact that you never shall. I will always be there lurking, in your waking hours and in your dreams. You will never be rid of me".

His grin grows bigger and I feel myself go limp, because he is right. Just like every other time, I won't be able to get away. My mind shuts off and I close my eyes tight and try not to cry as I feel his hands grab my shoulders. I know what is to come next, but I still can't help but scream as I feel it go in and like every other time he isn't gentle. I should know by now that if I stay quiet it won't last long.

"That's right, you will never be able to escape me little girl. I am now as much apart of you as you are me".

I'll never be able to escape, not as long as I am alive and in that moment I wished I was never alive to feel this pain and torment. Tears slide down my face and I can't help but let out a whimper.

                                    Wonderland:

"Rose, wake up for Christ sake. It's over, Rose please wake up".

I shoot up screaming, I can still feel everything but I don't want to talk about it. I get up, get dressed and walk out. Tiana walks up to me.

"Why didn't you stay with Tamani last night, he doesn't shut up about you and you can't"...

"Oh, your just scared that he'll end up ignoring you".
