CHAPTER 1:the stranger that knew my future
The rain fell heavily over the city of Valora, turning the streets into a sea of glowing lights and shadows.
Adrian Vale stood beneath the old street lamp, watching people rush past him with umbrellas in their hands. To everyone else, he looked like an ordinary worker returning home after a long day.
But Adrian knew something they didn’t.
The future was never silent.
Sometimes it came in dreams. Sometimes in whispers. Sometimes in a single moment when he looked into someone's eyes.
And tonight, it came again.
A vision.
A woman standing in a burning building.
A broken necklace lying on the floor.
Tears falling from her eyes as she whispered one name.
His name.
"Adrian..."
His breath stopped.
He had seen many futures before, but never one that felt so personal.
Then the vision disappeared.
Adrian opened his eyes and looked across the street.
That was when he saw her.
A black luxury car stopped in front of a tall building. A woman stepped out wearing an elegant suit, her confidence making everyone around her turn their heads.
Isabella Hart.
The billionaire heiress everyone in Valora knew.
Powerful. Beautiful. Untouchable.
But Adrian saw something nobody else could see.
A shadow following her.
A future filled with pain.
His heart tightened.
"No..." he whispered.
He wanted to walk away.
He had learned the hard way that getting close to people whose futures he saw only brought suffering.
But his feet didn’t move.
Isabella suddenly looked in his direction.
For a moment, their eyes met.
And Adrian saw another vision.
Not a disaster.
Not pain.
A different future.
The two of them standing together, smiling.
A future that shouldn't exist.
Because fate had already decided hers.
"What are you looking at?" Isabella asked as she walked closer.
Her voice was calm, but her eyes were sharp.
Adrian quickly looked away.
"Nothing."
She studied him carefully.
"Then why did you look at me like you knew me?"
Adrian stayed silent.
Because the truth sounded impossible.
Because telling her the truth would change everything.
But then he heard the words leave his mouth before he could stop them.
"Because I know what happens to you."
Isabella frowned.
"Excuse me?"
Adrian looked at her, knowing he had already crossed a line.
"In six months," he said quietly, "your entire life will change."
A cold wind passed between them.
Most people would have laughed.
Most people would have walked away.
But Isabella didn't.
She simply stared at him.
"Who are you?"
Adrian looked into her eyes.
The woman whose future he had seen.
The woman who might be the only person capable of changing his own fate.
"My name is Adrian Vale."
He paused.
"And I am the stranger who knows your future."
