The Unveiling Echo
Eleanor, a girl born into the lowest echelons of society, toiled as a maid in the sprawling estate of a 16th-century noble. Her hands, calloused from a life of hardship, moved with quiet diligence amidst the ornate tapestries, flickering candlelight, and distant echoes of revelry that painted a portrait of a world far removed from her station. Unbeknownst to her, Eleanor carried within her the divine essence of a goddess, a truth hidden even from her own awareness. In the quiet corners of the estate, Eleanor stumbled upon a peculiar leather-bound book while polishing silverware in the dusty attic. Its cover bore an enigmatic symbol that seemed to resonate with something deep within her. With a hesitant breath, she opened the tome and was immediately enveloped in an ethereal light, her surroundings transforming into the heart of the Renaissance. The grandeur of the era enveloped her—a stark contrast to her humble origins. Instead of merely observing, Eleanor saw a beam of light, accompanied by sparks and ethereal souls echoing and whispering around her. She could not believe her eyes; she thought that she was dreaming. Suddenly, she experienced a blurring vision of a strange woman stretching hands to her and whispering, "You are the one. You will save the world. Come, come, come now." Suddenly, Eleanor woke up and found herself on the floor. Opening her eyes, she saw people surrounding her. She was surprised and asked what happened. Her friend Helen helped her to stand up, telling her that she suddenly fainted. Eleanor thought the vision she saw was just a dream, not knowing that it was real. At sunset, she kept thinking about what she saw because it seemed real, but she had to prepare for the next day, so she slept. In her dreams, she found herself in a world of ruins and burning flames, surrounded by demons. Suddenly, a ball of fire reached her, and she was burned. Then she woke up. As she woke up, what surprised her the most was that the fire that burned her in her dreams was actually real. She saw the scar and felt the pain. She was surprised and afraid to sleep again. Deciding to take a walk to clear her mind, Eleanor noticed something odd. She decided to investigate and found a soldier reporting to General Heric that the weapon was ready, and the rebellion would start the next day at the banquet. Terrified, Eleanor overheard that Heric, a cruel general with ambitions to seize the noble family's leadership and command a great army, was planning a rebellion. Fearful of being noticed, Eleanor tried to leave without being seen, but Heric ordered his subordinate to check it out. Miraculously, the subordinate found no one there, allowing Eleanor to escape undetected. The weight of this revelation pressed upon her, and Eleanor knew she had to act to prevent the impending rebellion and save the noble family from Heric's treacherous plans.
