Chapter 10

Alexia’s POV

“Alexxxxxxxxxx!” I heard the little kids scream as they came running towards our direction. 

“Come with us.” I heard them say at the same time as they were getting closer to us. Next thing I know I’m on the ground tackled by all three of them “Pretty Please!”

Before I even had the chance to give them an answer, “Max tell her to come play with us. She always listens to you. If you tell her to come play with us she will. Please Maxx!” Both Jason and Olivia practically screamed at Max.

“I think it’s best if we go with our parents and take the food with us first and then we will see from there. How does that sound?” asked Max.

“On one condition” this time it was Emma 

“And what would that be Em?” asked Max.

“That Alexander plays with us too and gives us lollipops when we get back home.” Emma told Max “Oh and one more thing.” I could hear the smile in her voice.

“What is it Em?” Alexander asked this time

“That you… wait, come closer I want to whisper it to you.” she told Alexander. I could feel Alexander moving from somewhere behind me and sitting on the sand where I laid with the three kids still on top of me. I felt Emma move from on top of me to I assume Alexander’s lap and start whispering to him.

After a while Jason and Olivia got off of me and started to move towards Alexander as well. I heard some more whispering while Max came towards me and helped me up from the floor.

“You got yourselves a deal.” I heard Alexander tell them. 

“Yayy!” 

“Olivia, take Alex with your mom okay and be careful.” I heard Max whisper to Olivia.

“You got it Maxie. No need to worry I will always be there to protect her.” I heard Olivia tell Max as she started to pull me away from them.

“Alex I have a question I’ve been wanting to ask you but I didn’t know when to ask you?” Olivia told me. I nodded my head to let her know I was listening to her.

“When is Luca and the others coming to visit I miss them a lot.” Olivia asked with a bit of sadness in her voice “I especially miss Knox” Olivia whispered the last part.

I stopped in my tracks and pulled her in for a hug. When I let her go I signed I will see if they could visit soon but I’m not sure they will be able to because just like us they have school.

“Okay I hope it’s soon.” I heard the hope in her voice. “Alex but next time you have a video call can I be in it too or could you set one up so I could video call Knox.” She asked with so much excitement I nodded my head knowing I will make it possible.

“Thank you Alex. Okay now let's continue walking before Max tells me something.” Olvia said while laughing.

“Can Alex come play with us now? Please,” The kids begged.

“Hmmm. Let me think.” Max said.

“Maxxxxxxxx,” They whined which made me want to laugh.

“Did you eat?” he asked them and they nodded their heads

“Where will you be playing?” 

“By the water we want to build a sandcastle with her and we want her to be our mermaid queen. We might go to the water after a while because she is going to be our mermaid queen after the ceremony,” Jason said.

“What ceremony?” Alexander asked.

“We are going to have a ceremony to welcome the new queen mermaid to our home that we are going to build with her help,” Emma told him.

“Now you have to ask Alex if she wants to play with you,” Max told them.

“Wait, we will be right back just give us a couple of minutes. Alexander can you come and help us pleasee,” Olivia asked him.

I heard as Alexander got up and walked away with all three of them.

“Where do you think they are going? What do you think they are up to?” Bella asked 

I shrugged because I had no idea what they were going to do.

“They might be getting things ready or I don’t know,” Sofia said.

After a while they came back laughing and running towards us.

“Alex! Alex! Alex!” I faced towards where their screams were coming from and next thing I know I am being pulled up and thrown over someone’s shoulder as if I weighed nothing and being taken to who knows where.

“Alexander put my sister down,” I heard Max scream and realized Alexander was the one who put me over his shoulder now the only question was where was he taking me.

“I will in a bit don’t worry,” I heard him scream back as he kept walking.

As he was carrying me I heard little feet running after us which I’m assuming were Olivia, Jason, and Emma’s feet that were hitting the sand. When I was put down on my feet I felt these weird tingles from Alexander’s hands that were resting on my waist. I felt his hands move away but I still had little tingles on my waist. I wondered what that was about but decided to forget about it as I felt two little kids grab a hold of my hands.

“Come on soon to be Queen Alex we have a castle to build,” Emma said as she held onto me as Jason held onto my other hand. 

“Can I have a piggy back ride Alexander?” I heard Olivia as him.

“Sure you can hop on,” I heard Alexander tell her.

We soon stopped near the water as I could hear it closer. Jason helped me sit and we all started to build the sand castle. After a while Alexander started walking around with Olivia on his back then came back to do the same thing with Jason and Emma. 

“Alex we want to ask you something,” Emma said.

I nodded for her to keep talking.

“Can you please be our mermaid queen?” she asked.

I nodded again with a small smile on my lips.

“Okay but before we start making you our queen we need you to get into a swimsuit. Where’s Bella and Sofia?” asked Jason.

“I’ll go and get them,” Alexander said while he got up and left.

“You’re okay with wearing a swimsuit right Alex?” Jason asked me.

At first I was worried about wearing one but then the more I thought about it the less I worried. I nodded my head to let him know I was okay with it.

“Okay good don’t want our queen to feel uncomfortable,” Jason said with a smile.

I couldn’t help but pull him into a hug and kiss his forehead.

“Alex, stop that Emma’s looking over here,” Jason said in a hurry which made me smile at his adorableness.

“You know Alex, you have a really pretty smile. I wish we could see it more often. If this is what it takes for you to smile more than I’m okay with you kissing me more often I don’t mind” Jason said with a smile as I kissed him once again. 

“Okay I might mind a little if it’s in front of Emma,” he said as he scratched the back of his neck and I couldn’t help but smile once again.

“Jason bring Alex over here so we can get her changed into her swimsuit we got her,” I heard Sofia scream our way.

Jason helped me stand and took me with Bella and Sofia who then took me to the car and gave me the swimsuit they bought me at the mall. 

“We didn’t know exactly what color you wanted so we went with a black one. And don’t worry it’s not a bikini it’s a one piece with a halter top. We hope you like it,” Sofia said.

I felt beautiful in a swimsuit after so long. It hid all of my scars from the accident no one would ever notice them. When we were walking back I heard the kids laughing along with Alexander and Max. As we got closer to them I felt someone’s eyes on me and heard someone stop laughing. Everyone soon turned to look at us .

“Alex you look so beautiful,” Jason and Olivia said.

“Wow we are going to have one pretty queen,” Emma said.

“Bella! Sofia! Why is she wearing a swimsuit?” Max said.

I had a feeling he would have said something along those lines. I kinda wanted to laugh because it was so predictable just like when we first went over for dinner at Sofia’s house.

“How do you think she looks, Alexander?” Olivia asked him.

I still felt someone’s eyes on me apart from everyone elses. Their gaze felt heated making me want to squirm in my spot.

“I think she looks really beautiful just like before,” Alexander said as he got up from where he was and started walking towards me.

As he got closer and I felt his gaze get more heated and couldn’t help but look down as the blood flowed onto my cheeks.

“Don’t hide your blush from me beautiful. I love it when you blush.” Alexander whispered and he lifted my chin up to face him.

“Woah. Woah. Woah. Hold it right ther…” 

“Stop it Max you are ruining the moment. Now shut up and be quiet,” Sofia said followed by a grunt from Max. 

I could feel Alexander’s eyes still on my face making me blush even more if that was possible. 

“Come on Alex. Let's go and play in the water. The ceremony will start soon.” Emma said while coming to me and dragging me to the water with Jason and Olivia.

“See I didn’t ruin no moment s**t. I didn’t even have to do anything,” Max said

“Be quiet Max you told Emma to go up to them and drag Alex to the water,” Sophia said while slapping his arm.

“Ouch that hurt be careful women I’m a delicate person”

“Be quiet and let’s go with them,” Sophia said while walking towards Alex and the kids.
