Darcel Sullivan owns Omega Corporation, a company that had control of almost everything in the country. His business had propelled him to the top and without his knowledge, the underworld had made its own progress. The black butterfly had propagated and the one leading them was Edelweiss Carmichael. They honestly had nothing to do with each other until Darcel's life was jeopardized and Edelweiss was forced to take in a sword in his stead. Her impulsive action leads to her returning back in time, where a young Darcel was throwing deadly glares at her. His piercings and the scar on his forehead made her remember...that he was the damned thug in their high school and his image was worse than she had as a gangster in the 21st century.

Prologue
"I told you didn't I? There was no need to find me a lover" I grumbled as I flung my drenched leather coat in the rack situated near the doorway of my office. The water droplets in my hair was evidence of the lousy and unforgiving weather going on outside.  Feeling it slowly sticking in my skin, I immediately took the towel my subordinates prepared for me. "I have too much work to do and you're not helping at all. You can't even be called an assistant anymore cause you're not even with me most of the time. f*****g bastard" "That's cause I can't keep up with you. Who in their right mind would even use the rooftops as their escape route" he muttered in reply making me glare towards him. He must have forgotten who I am with his absence.  "Watch some movies you amateur" I jokingly said while rolling my eyes. "They even do backflips in the rooftops"   Noticing the pile of paper on my desk, I immediately headed there and took a seat. When I saw what the issue on the papers was about, I nearly banged my head on the desk in frustration. The security has tightened around our next target. Now I need to revise the plan and make new arrangements with the team who will do the operation.  Niel who was obviously still not finished with his business strode towards me. "Get a love---" The wind blew past him and a loud thud erupted in the room as my dagger buried itself in the wall behind him, even piercing one leaf in the devil's ivy behind him. I wasn't one who tolerates nonsensical insistence. "I don't want to die yet, Niel, and neither do you. Love could kill so I don't want anything to do with it" "What nonsense" he retorted as he retrieved my dagger and returned it to me. Upon placing it in my hands, he handed me a folder as well. Curious, I immediately set aside the dagger and opened up the folder only to be greeted by a brunette man who had quite a pretty face. "Darcel Sullivan. Candidate Number One" "What the f**k, Niel?!"  Niel merely shrugged his shoulders at my outburst. This lunatic. "In case you finally decide to engage in a romantic relationship. I chose some worthy candidates" Did he really go insane?! He disobeyed me and even went on ranting about gross topics like romance. I wanted to pull my gun out and shot this maniac in the head but decided that it wasn't the best time. He still had some use and I wasn't willing to let him go until he had proven his worth.  I took a peek at his annoying yet emotionless face before throwing the folder in the trash bin near me.  "Did you really think an angel like him would suit me? He'd die before he could even see a glimpse of my face" I then pointed at all my men posted outside who were joking amongst themselves. Some of them even had cigarettes in their mouth, and their guns were neatly tucked in their back. "Those maniacs outside can't possibly tolerate such pure a soul as him near them"  Niel followed my line of sight before sighing and raising his hands in surrender. "If you want one, I still have a copy of that in my home. Just contact me" Despite all his efforts to convince me, I merely shook my head in defiance. Nope, I won't get a lover in this life. I had lost my mother because of that so-called love. I'm not willing to risk my life for it.  Never.
