Mixed Feelings ( His Rival or Rivals🤔)

Saturday morning, the Sun invaded the window and made way to Melissa’s eyes and it fluttered. She stretched, got up wand went into the bath house for a Shower. After that, She creamed her body and dressed up in a Pink trouser and a white top, she wore the medallion that Adrian have her, with white hoop earrings and flowered Sunglasses, she put a pink scarf round her neck and wore Silver flats. Melissa carried her Suitcases downstairs to the Living Room. She went into the kitchen to make herself a little something for Breakfast. She had Baked beans, tuna salad and a Cup of Yoghurt. After doing her wash up at the kitchen, she headed to the front porch because her Cab Chauffer was already outside. He helped her put the Suit cases into the Car trunk while She locked up. Then, they left for the Airport and in about one hour they arrived.

Melissa dialed Jeremy’s number to inform him of her arrival while the Cab Chauffer aided her in bringing her things down.

Melissa: Hey, I’m in front of the Airport already, have you two arrived?

Jeremy: yeah, we’ve been waiting for you, we already got our tickets, I’m coming to get you

Melissa: you know what? I’ll head to the Waiting Lounge now, come meet me there okay?

Jeremy: that’s fine by me (hangs up)

Melissa paid the Cab chauffer, she also tipped him handsomely, out of appreciation, he helped her carry the Suitcases to the Lounge before he left.

Meanwhile Jeremy informed Adrian about Lissa’s arrival and they went to meet at the Linge. Melissa hugged the two Guys when she saw them, and Adrian handed over her plane ticket to her. Jeremy asked them to wait there while he checked in her Luggages. Adrian noticed that Melissa was wearing his gift, he blushed though he tried hard to maintain composure but he drew her attention

Melissa: why are you blushing all of a sudden?

Adrian: (blushed harder) Is it that obvious? You are rocking the medallion and it’s quite beautiful on your neck

Melissa: (sighed) not like I have a choice

Adrian: thank you. I feel like holding you right now

Even if it’s for a minute

Melissa: We are going on a mission not a love and romance camp, where is your composure? You better focus

Adrian: I’m sorry I lost concentration, please forgive me

Melissa: you are very bothersome, yo un know what? (She removes the medallion and stuffs it inside her handbag) now I’ve tackled the problem, hope you won’t lose focus again this time. Just leave me alone, I beg you

Lissa left the waiting lounge, She met an Officer for enquiry and he directed her to the plane. She submitted her ticket and entered; She went to her seat, placed her hand luggage in the booth provided before she relaxed on the chair to listen to music. Meanwhile Jeremy returned and was surprised to meet just Adrian waiting for him.

Jeremy: Hey man, where is Melissa?

Adrian: inside the Plane I guess

Jeremy: why did you let her go alone? Are you even sure she knows our plane?

Adrian: Lissa is not a baby, I’m sure she can navigate her way by herself, don’t you think you are being too concerned?

Jeremy: You two had a fight again I guess

Adrian: let’s go, the Plane should be taking off anytime from now

Jeremy: okay then

They submitted their tickets and entered the Plane, Jeremy’s seat was next to Lissa’s while Adrian’s was close to his. They sat down respectively and Jeremy tapped Melissa so they could discuss

Melissa: Hey, you Guys are already here

Jeremy: yeah, why did you leave the Lounge

Melissa: I was tired, I needed to relax and listen to music

Jeremy: Did you have a fight with Adrian?

Melissa: is that what he told you?

Jeremy: No, not at all I’m just curious that’s all

Melissa: I’m tired and I want to rest

Jeremy: sorry for bothering you I’ll let you rest

The Plane took off after some minutes elapsed. Melissa and Jeremy discussed about a lot of things while they snacked on Meat pie and Wine. She had a little headache so she lay her head on Jeremy’s shoulder to nap a little after taking some Pain killers. Adrian watched the scene with envy, he wanted to be the one by her side but…………he watched them for long before he drifted to sleep. About Five hours later, their Plane landed at Montenegro Airport. Adrian left to get their Luggages while Jeremy woke Melissa and helped her with the hand luggage, he held her hand and they alighted from the Plane. Adrian was waiting for them at the main road together with the Cab he ordered. They arrived and joined him in the Cab and the Chauffer zoomed off to their designated Estate. They got home in an hour. The building was a Semi detached Duplex, it had a basement, a front porch, a garage, chimney and a big driveway. The house had three bedrooms downstairs and each room had a bath house attached. It had a big Living room, a guest room and three study rooms upstairs. The house was furnished exceedingly. The Chauffer helped the Guys carry their Luggages into the Living room while Melissa made way to the middle room, she removed her shoe and lay down to sleep. Adrian brought her things to her room while Jeremy came in with a bowl of water and handkerchief which he used in massaging her face, neck, hands and legs to control her temperature, he placed the wet handkerchief on her forehead and left for his room,which was the one at the end. Jeremy unpacked his things and arranged them, then he had a quick shower, changed into a home wear and went downstairs, he was about leaving to buy dinner when he met Adrian inside the Kitchen.

Jeremy: Hey, you’re making dinner. I was about going to buy us something to eat

Adrian: yeah I’m making Pasta, you don’t need to bother. How is She?

Jeremy: her temperature is quite okay and she is sleeping, she looks a little bit pale but she will be fine

Adrian: I’m almost done, when she wakes, I’ll take her food to her

Jeremy: are you sure, I can help you if it’s not a problem

Adrian: No it’s not, I will be fine

Jeremy: okay then I’ll head out with the thermometer I used on her so I can get her drugs

Adrian: see you soon

Jeremy left the house for the Pharmacy, he gave the Nurse the thermometer and after she observed it she was able to prescribe drugs which he paid for and left. Meanwhile as Adrian was dishing out the Food, he heard Melissa scream and he rushed to her Bedroom. She had vomited on the floor and she was in great pain. Adrian got a towel and a bucket, he cleaned her face and aided her in laying on the Bed. He cleaned the vomit on the floor and flushed it in the toilet. He unlocked her suitcase to get her toiletries and her towel then he prepared a hot bath for her and helped her into the bath house so she could shower. Melissa freshened up, put on the bath robe in the bath house and came out. By then Adrian had mopped the Floor, unpacked he Tv things and arranged them in her Closet, he saw her and went to her side, he helped her dry her hair and pack it, then he gave her Night wear to change into and he went downstairs to get her Food. He dished out the Pasta and added the poached eggs and Fruit toast he made for her, then he took it upstairs. Melissa was so weak so he had to help her sit up with the aid of a pillow, and he fed her.

Jeremy came back but he didn’t see Adrian in the Kitchen so he went straight to Lissa’s room. He met Adrian feeding her, he prepared her medication immediately. There was a bottled water in the tray already so Lissa used that to take her drugs after eating then she lay down to sleep. The Guys left after Adrian covered Lissa with the Duvet. They had a Conversation on their way to the Kitchen.

Adrian: what did the Nurse say? What’s wrong with her?

Jeremy: She said it’s high fever due to stress and lack of vitamins too. Those drugs will do the trick

Adrian: okay then because she got me scared today, she threw up and screamed

Jeremy: woah, I hope she gets better real quick. Have you dished out the food, I’m starving

Adrian: yeah (pushed his tray slightly to him)enjoy

Jeremy: thanks Man

Adrian: we should call Owen and Hilda to know if they’ve arrived at Liechtenstein

Jeremy: yeah but it’s late already we’ll do that tomorrow

Adrian: that’s fine

They ate their Dinner in silence and Jeremy did the dishes then they went to their respective rooms to pass the night.

Monday morning, Melissa awoke and stretched, then she entered the bath house for a Shower.

After that She creamed her body, she put on a printed Black skirt and a white T-shirt, she made her hair into braids and wore a pink overcoat, she went for a black kitten heel. She did a mild make up and put on her black clip on earrings and the medallion from Adrian, she picked her black handbag and left for the dining after locking her room. On the way she bumped into Adrian

Melissa: Hey, thanks for everything you did, I really appreciate

Adrian: you’re welcome, I’m happy you’re better now

Melissa: I needed that long nap I had yesterday

Adrian: yeah though we were scared because you slept from morning till evening

Melissa: I think it’s the drug, (She moves to the Kitchen) hey Jeremy, what are you making?

Jeremy: ohh Lissa! I’m happy you’re back on your feet. I made Pancakes and Jam, your favorite

Adrian: and how do you know this?

Jeremy: Hilda says it every time at the Cop shop

Melissa: that reminds me, I should call Hilda to know if they arrived safely at Liechtenstein. Thank you for the meal Jeremy (she Carrie’s her tray to the dining hall)

Adrian: do you like her?

Jeremy: (laughs) No I don’t, I’m just being nice

Adrian: can you cut down on your niceness, I like her and I’m doing my best to get her, please don’t rubbish my efforts

Jeremy: (smirks) let the best man win ( he Carrie’s his tray to join Lissa at the dining hall)

Adrian tried his best to control his emotions, he ordered food to be delivered to the office then he left the house abruptly, Melissa wondered why he left before them but she kept mute. The Cop shop provided them with three cars, Jeremy and Melissa took their car to work.

Thé trio pulled up at Magnifiques Fashion Company. They all went to the Administrative office. Mrs Megan Joëlle, the PA to the CEO escorted them to the Conference hall where they were to meet with the CEO. Mr Myles Anderson was seated already so they exchanged greetings and sat down

Mr Myles: Welcome to Magnifiques, here we expect the best from you, do nothing less than that

Thé Trio: yes Sir

Mr Myles: My PA will give you orientation on the rules and regulations of the Company, hope you comply

Thé Trio: Yes Sir

Mr Myles: Melissa Byron, your post was changed before you arrived. You won’t work at the audit office, you will be my Bodyguard instead, you are to follow me everywhere and you can close only when I’m through for the day, is that understood?

Melissa: Yes Sir, that’s fine by me

Mr Myles: your office is after mine, you ought to be there always unless I call for you

Melissa: No problem Sir

Mr Myles: alright then, this meeting is over

The Trio left the meeting room.
