Abigail grabbed Trick’s arm and shook him. “Trick, open the door!” Her words did not sound like a request or a plea, they were an order. She was ordering the man to act. “Trick, I said…open the door!”  Trick’s hands hovered over the keyboard of his laptop. His eyes were fixed on the black windows that should have been showing feed from the hallway camera. Abigail tightened her grip and shook his arm again.  He looked away from the screen and looked at her but she was not sure he was actually seeing her. “Trick?”  Abigail felt like screaming. If the man had chosen that moment to go into shock, she didn’t know what she would do. She clenched her hands, and then released several times.
