The drive back to Lena’s apartment was quite peaceful. She sat in the backseat with the boy, cuddled him, kissed him, and then whispered to him, telling him not to be nervous about his new home. The boy nodded his head, and then folded his little hand in front of his mouth, and whispered back in Lena’s ear. They both giggled after sharing that little secret, like a pair of real mother and son, and they were a really happy one. The joyful atmosphere created by them, in combination with the bright headlights in front of the car, gave Vincent the illusion that they were actually a very happy family, and were on the way to an extremely wonderful trip. It had always been Vincent’s dream to drive his wife and son like this. There was nothing better than spending time with your loved ones
