He was lost in his thoughts so deeply that he didn’t even realize his son had come back. Right after Vincent came back to the house, he sent the boy out to keep Lena in company or maybe even ease Lena’s anger at him.
The little boy stopped in front of Vincent and pulled Vincent’s arm to remind his father of his presence. Vincent raised his head in alarm and then smiled.
“You came back, boy,” he said, and then asked, “Is everything alright with Doctor Lena?”
