The Mark of Destiny
The village of Elmshade was known for its peaceful days and quiet nights. Nestled between green hills and ancient forests, it was a place where nothing extraordinary ever happened—or so everyone believed.
Seventeen-year-old Aria lived a simple life with her grandmother. She spent her days helping in the market and her evenings reading old books by candlelight. While other girls dreamed of wealth or romance, Aria often wondered why she felt different from everyone else.
One stormy night, everything changed.
A strange dream pulled her into a world of shadows and stars. She stood in the middle of a vast field beneath a silver sky. A mysterious voice echoed around her.
"The time has come. The chosen one must awaken."
Before she could speak, a bright symbol appeared on her wrist, glowing like moonlight. The light grew stronger until it swallowed the entire sky.
Aria woke up with a gasp.
Rain pounded against her window, and thunder shook the house. Her heart raced as she looked at her wrist.
The symbol from her dream was still there.
"It can't be..." she whispered.
The mark shimmered faintly before fading beneath her skin.
The next morning, rumors spread through the village. Strange creatures had been seen near the forest, and an old shrine that had been abandoned for centuries suddenly glowed during the night.
As Aria listened to the villagers talk, she felt the mark on her wrist grow warm.
Far away, hidden within a dark castle, a hooded figure opened his eyes.
"So she has awakened at last," he said with a cold smile.
"The Girl Chosen by Fate has finally appeared."
Unaware of the danger approaching, Aria took her first step toward a destiny that would change her life forever.
