When the time hit nine, we left the dormitory and didn't take Cleo's car too. The kanima would sense the noise and the warlock would know someone was there.
We had been out in the woods near the cave. We found an old log to sit on. A half-moon cast a tiny sliver of light on us. Hidden and didn't want to be suspicious. We kept a close watch from a far distance as people kept going in and coming out of the cave. They were masked this time.
Beauty sighed. "This is a waste of time," she said.
"Calm down. They will show up." Cleo assured.
"But what if they came earlier than we had expected?" I asked and both of them looked at me.
"She is right." Beauty said. She stood up. "Can we go now?" she asked. I sat her back down and shook my head.
"We can't enter if they are already inside."
