It's been 2 weeks in Roseville and I just love this place. I went to the Cafe for some coffee. "Good morning Jack is your mother here." He handed me a coffee and nodded. "Mom Alice want to talk to you." He called her. "Good morning Alice. How can I help." Her smile reminds me of my mother so sweet and beautiful. "Pepper I'm looking for work do you have work for me? I have never worked before but I am a fast learner." I asked Pepper. She smiled. "Well I need some help." She said. "Great when can I start." she laughed. "I haven't even told you what your going to do or what pay you will get." I didn't even care I just wanted to be busy. Just then a man walked in. "I've never seen him around." Pepper said. The guy looked at me and quickly looked away again and he go sits at a back table. "Jack go help that customer." He quickly go and helped. "You can start tomorrow." I got up with a smile. As I walked out I can feel that the guy is watching me. I just ignore it. I went home to go through my closet. I walked past one of my windows in the corner of my eye I saw someone staring at my house. I went back to the window to check again. Nothing. I freaked out and run to the door to check if someone is in the steet. No one is in the street and no cars. I locked the door and checked all the windows. Everything is locked. I closed all the curtains so that no one can just look into my house. I felt that afraid again. I took me back to that night in the car with mom and dad. I made some coffee and try to relax but I feel unsave. It's just in your head. I turned off all the lights and went to bed. One of the curtains is slightly open. A street light is just a cross the road then I saw it again there is somone standing near a bush. I called the Sheriff. "Hello Sheriff. Sorry to bother you but there is someone standing in the street staring at my house." When I looked up the person vanished in the dark. "He's gone." I was so scared. "I'm on my way stay in your house." The Sheriff stopped in front of my house. He looked around the house and where I said the guy was standing. "Alice. I don't see anything no footprints around the house or near the bush. But I did found this piece of paper." He hand me the piece of paper it's a till slip. From the Cafe a coffee slip. Nothing odd. "Call me if you need me even if its midnight." He said. "I will thanks Sheriff." "Just doing my job Alice be save." I went inside and locked the door. The night is quiet. The nightmares starts again when I close my eyes I saw my mother and father's body's then I see the guys face and his words "I will find you." I woke up in fear but something else was waking me. There is a cold breeze in my room. I got up to check the windows and doors every thing is shut tight. I went back to bed. I'm so scared but so tired. When by head hit the pillow I was fast asleep. The next day I got up and got ready for work. I don't want to be late for the first day. I started to work by the cafe. The Café opens at 8am I made sure I was there 7:30. I've met everyone in town. One of the guys is flirting with me. "You look very nice today." The guy named Michael is a real charmer but also a creep. At 1pm we where in rush hour that is the time when the town comes to life there is a few kids in town and a small School. Everybody started to come to the Cafe for lunch and coffee. Who knew that people are so lazy to make lunch. But somehow this is how the town comes together. Michael called me for a n other coffee when I walked away he slaps me on my butt. I gasped. He laughed. "What's the matter sweetie." I just walked away. And asked Jack to take that table over. I didn't want him to know what happened. Later the day everything started to slow down. My first day of work is almost over. We locked up for the day. "Jack will you walk me home please." Asking him trying not to sound afraid or scared. "Sure. I can tell you the history of the town." as we walk to my house he told me how it all started. "In the 1700 Russell and Angela Villa built there house on the hill there." I looked to where he was pointing. It's a big house but it look like it was on fire. Jack looked at me with a smile. "Yes as you can see the house has burned. I'll get to that. So they started a small garden and hunted for meat. Angela sent a letter to her family to come and live here as well. Soon Angela family arrives and some other people too. That time they did not had a name for there small town. When Angela found out that she was pregnant. She had a rough pregnancy she al most lost her baby twice. And the baby was born 5weeks to early. Lucky it was a healthy baby Girl. Her name was Rose." We stopped at a small memorial that said Rose Villa. It's 4 hands holding a baby she is smiling full of love." What happend." l was feeling sad. Jack looked at me there is tears in his eyes. Somehow I think he knew them. When I looked up to the house again it looked like someone is standing there. "Who's that?" Jack looked up and there is nothing. "I don't see anyone. Don't tell me you believe in ghosts." He laughed. Someone was standing there and was looking to us. "Anyway. When the baby was born everyone help she had colic and cried almost all the time. In that times there was no electricity and had candles burning it was a Saturday morning when Rose started crying. Angela was so tired when she went to Rose's room to calm her down and she lighted a candle and put it near the window she took Rose to the main bedroom and forgot the candle. She was so tired that se fell asleep instantly. They woke up of the smell of smoke and had no way out. The town's people rushed to the house to get them out they broke the windows to get in in that time they were already out off fresh air. They were suffocating. They got them out and try to help them Russell and Angela bearly made it but Rose was not so lucky. Russell and Angela where in the hospital for 2 months fighting for there life's not jet knowing that there child is dead. Russell woke his body was full of burned wounds. He immediately asked for Angela and Rose he tried to got up and screamed for them when his mother in law came in to calm him. Russell you need to calm down Angela is in the next room she hasn't woken up jet when she starts to cry. Rose where is Rose please tell me my Baby girl is okay. She let her head down and tears running down her face when she looked up to face him. When he realized that Rose did not make it he screamed and cry. I want to she my wife please help me to her room. He could bearly walked. They help him to her room when he sees his wife full of burnd wounds. He begged her to woke up to come back to him. Honey our baby girl. He couldn't tell her what happened he spend the night beside her. Another 2 months goes by and she still hasn't woke he begin to walk again and getting stronger when he decided to name the town after his baby Girl he asked every one in town what they think when his father in law took him to the memorial they already named the town Roseville. Angela had a setback and they thought that she is not going to make it when she woke up crying Russell was by her side when se woke. She's gone our baby girl is in heaven. Russell was shocked of her words and held her in his arms. When she spoke again. We are going to have another kids Russell our journey only has begun. And Russell and Angela had 4 more children and my grandma was one of Angela an Russell's grate grate grand child. Or something like that. So that is the story of our town not a realy happy beginning but the story makes this town who we are. Some of the people here was born here and have died here." Jack's face was sad but also full of proud." Question if your grandma is one of the grate grate grand children then the town belongs to your mother and you aren't your mother spouse to be Mayor or something." I asked Jack."No every first born will be the next Mayor and my grandma was the fourth child." he answered he kind of looked relieved that he will not be mayor. "Its a big responsibility to be mayor of this town so no thanks." He laughed. We were standing at my gate when I noticed that my door is open. "What the?" Jack looked up and see i was looking to my door he also looked. "I'll call the Sheriff." I wanted to run it to see if the thief is still inside but I couldn't move. When I heard the Sheriff said Alice. "Alice!! I'll go and look." He came out but where is the thief why doesn't he have the thief. "Alice I think you should come and see this." I frowned at his words. I rushed into my house every thing is in place when I looked to the wall "I will found you!" It looked like blood. "Alice what is going on who are you hiding from have you done something." I looked to the Sheriff with tears in my eyes. I quickly took out my phone and call the police station."Hello this is Tracy how can I help you?" "Tracy its me Alice I need to know is he still in prison?" The Sheriff looked shocked at me. " Just give me a moment let me check.... He is still in prison he got life time in prison he won't hurt you Alice." Thanks Tracy." I hang up." Alice?" The Sheriff look with conden in his face.
