The next morning when I got up, a smile was on my face and my steps were light as I dressed and headed to work. I even caught myself humming as I walked to my desk. “Wow, you are in a good mood today,” Sandi said, sipping her coffee. “What’s his name?” If you only knew, I thought, as I sat down at my desk and signed on to my computer. Just as I prepared to pull up my half-edited story, which took me a half a day to write, and Kimberly thirty minutes to shred, my phone rang. “I hate to tell you this, but you have been replaced as my best friend.
