Chapter Nine

1186 Words
I managed to convince all of my brothers to accompany me to the bar today. They just wanted to watch me perform, but I made them promise that if they came, they would sing at least one song. However, I didn't expect them to sing together. I feel cheated as I watch all six of them up on stage singing Fanatic of Night. They walk over to me, looking quite pleased with themselves. I pout as they take their seats. Miki: "You guys totally cheated. I wanted you to sing separately." Subaru: "Next time you should specify that." Reiji: "We have taken our turn. None of us have to go up anymore." Miki: "I still say it's unfair you guys get off on a technicality." I jump up onto the stage and give a flirty wave to my brothers before singing Who Made Me A Princess. After my song, we go home. I am reading a book in my bed when I hear a knock at the door. Miki: "Come in." They open the door to reveal it is Reiji. Reiji: "Miki, I need to speak with you." I put my book on my nightstand as I sit up. Miki: "Alright, what is it, Rei-nii?" He shuts the door and comes over till he is standing in front of me. Reiji: "Miki, do you know where I got these letters?" He holds up a few letters in his hand. Miki: "No. I've never seen them. Why do you ask?" Reiji: "These letters were in your desk at school. I just wanted to check if you had any knowledge of them." Miki: "Well, I didn't know about them, but it's not surprising that you found them there. Boys do that every day. It's highly unusual to get to my desk and find absolutely no notes at all." His eyes turn cold as he is practically glaring at me now. Reiji: "Why didn't you tell me about this?" Miki: "Well, it's not like you can stop every boy from doing this every single day. I just throw them out after class anyhow." Reiji: "It seems you don't even know what's going on with these boys." Miki: "Of course not. I don't read the notes. I just throw them out." Reiji: "From now on, one of us will be walking you to and from your class. You can't leave your classroom without one of us." He turns to leave, but I stop him. Miki: "What?! That's not fair, Reiji. I didn't do anything." Reiji: "It's not that you did something wrong. It's for your protection." He gives me a look, almost like he's daring me to oppose his decision. Knowing I would just get punished if I were to oppose him, I huff and look away from him. Miki: "Fine, I won't leave my classroom without one of you to guard me. Does this mean I'm going to have to walk in the bubble again?" Reiji: "I forgot about the bubble. That would be a better plan, but unnecessary for every time. Get dressed, it's almost time for school." He leaves me to get ready. Once we get to school, I have to walk in the protective bubble of my brothers. Reiji in front of me, Shu behind me, Laito & Kanato on my left, and Subaru & Ayato on my right. Miki: 'I never should've reminded him about the bubble. So annoying.' We finally reach my classroom, and they leave, except for Subaru. Subaru: "I will be getting you after class. So wait for me." Miki: "Alright Su-nii. I'll wait here for you." He nods and walks off to his class. The entire day, I feel as if there is someone watching my every move. I try, but just can't shake the feeling. Finally, the bell rings to end the day. I go to leave, but when I stand up, there is a boy in front of me, almost as if he just appeared there. He has grayish-black hair and copper-rose colored eyes, with almost a predatory gaze about them, which greatly reminds me of my brothers. ?: "Hey. Didn't mean to startle you." Miki: "It's quite alright. I'm just a little jumpy today." He is smirking when I finish my sentence, it's like he knew why I was this way. ?: “Hello Angel, at last we meet again.” Miki: “I think you have the wrong girl, sir. I have never met you before. However, you remind me a great deal of my brothers.” ?: “Oh, I know I am not wrong. You are Miki Sakamaki.” Miki: “Indeed I am. That does not change the fact that I do not know who you are. Just who are you?” Kino: “My name is Kino. I am Karlheinz’s illegitimate son, which makes me your brother.” Miki: “How do I know you are telling the truth?” Kino: “You can ask our father later. For now, just know that I have come to claim you as my future bride. You should be grateful, my dear Angel.” He tries to kiss me, but I dodge his advance. Miki: ‘Why did everyone have to leave the room so fast?’ Miki: “I don’t think so. There’s no way I would ever accept that without proof.” I start backing away as he stalks toward me. Kino: “If you need proof that I am who I say I am, just wait for father to arrive at your house in a couple days.” I glare at him as he pins me against the wall and leans in to whisper in my ear. Kino: “Not to worry, Miki-chan. I will cleanse you of our brothers’ touch once we are alone again.” He forcefully kisses me, and when I finally manage to get him off of me, he disappears. I look around for him, to see if he’s still lurking anywhere, while wiping my mouth off. Miki: “I can’t believe that guy. Disgusting.” Just then, Subaru appears in the room. Subaru: “Miki, what are you doing? Our brothers are waiting for us." Miki: “Ah, Subaru!” I run into his arms, hugging his torso and nuzzling him. Miki: “Please get me out of here.” Subaru: "What happened?" I look up at him with tears in my eyes while his hands are on my shoulders. Miki: "A boy was here. He threatened to take me away from you and our brothers. He even forced a kiss on me." He looks super pissed, but tightly holds me. Subaru: "That is never going to happen. I will not let it. Let's get you home." I nod as he wipes away my tears and he gently kisses me. We get to the limo and our brothers notice how we are acting as we take off. Reiji: "What happened?" Subaru tells them the short version that I told him. My brothers are all very pissed now. Miki: "He said our father will be coming in a few days."
