BALIQIS: THE ORDAINED LUNA OF AGATHA

"Make sure you catch their Luna and bring her to my feet!" Baliqs Ibn Atamin the Luna of Agatha Pack ran breathlessly through the woods as she heard this. Death and stale smell of blood lingered in the air as she continued running without an aim. Right now, comfort and peace of mind she needed none. The only thing on her mind right now is speedy escape from the psychopathic demonic Rouge, Alpha Cilix . "Dear moon Goddess, Oh heavenly mother, save me. Save me from this havoc that befell my pack. You gave me the special mark that I should lead this pack after my father, let me not be put to shame oh Goddess" she prayer fervently to the moon Goddess as she continued to run. When she got to a crossroad that leads to the entrance of the pack, she looked back at her people. They were being killed mercilessly by Alpha Cilix 's warriors. Balqis has only lived at Agatha all her life, nothing else mattered more than Agatha pack that was left to her by her late father, Lycan King Atamin of Agatha Pack. It's strange to say a female became the leader of a pack after her father. But before her father's death, even before she was mated, Balqis has been pronounced as the Alpha of Agatha Pack because she has that same marks that pack leaders do have. As Luna Balqis continues running, she recollects when she shifted and was pronounced the Alpha. The wolves of Agatha accepted her whole heartedly because they believed that it was the wish of the Goddess. That same night, she met her mate, Alpha Alexander which made them call her Luna. Alpha Alexander died mysteriously on their mating ceremony eve and shortly afterwards, her father and mother were assassinated mysteriously. Baliqs's world is turned upside down since then .Running the pack without her father or mother or mate, made her more miserable. Since her father's death, the wolf elders supported her in every way they could, gave her advice and everything goes on smoothly even though she was barely holding on. Earlier that evening, no one was aware of the impending attack, they were literally caught off guard. What could Luna Balqis do? All the Betas, Lycans, Alphas and Gammas in her pack were completely at Alpha Cilix 's mercy as his warriors are more than hers. After running for what seems like ages and she was completely far from Agatha, Balqis stopped to catch her breathe beside a tree. When she sat down breathing heavily, her mind raced with several thoughts and then she telepathed with Vera her wolf. 'Vera should I leave my people behind? Should I let my pack crumble like this?' Vera sound very sad and emotional 'Balqis we can't run away like this. Cilix will kill everyone at Agatha and take the throne' 'Then what should I do? I'm on heat I can't even run in my wolf form, I'm completely at his mercy what should I do?' she cried. Vera said nothing else again but sighed. When she had rested well enough, she stood up to continue moving again but she was suddenly grabbed from behind. Balqis struggled and kicked while shouting but the arms that grabbed her was way too strong. Just as she thought all was lost, her captors grip loosened. Balqis breathed heavily again and turned around to see who the wicked and benevolent person was. Her relief was cut short immediately she found herself face to face with the Alpha Cilix himself. The most talked about rouge that everyone fears. His features is not as she heard. It was rumoured that Cilix is someone with ugly head and bushy beards that made him look very scary. But this man before her has the most beautiful eyes ever. His piercing gaze seems to bore into her soul making Balqis shiver down to her spine. 'Here my life comes to an end I guess' she telepathed to Vera. 'Beg him Balqis, plead with him if that will guarantee our safety from this power and blood thirsty beast' Vera screamed Cilix laughed maliciously suddenly, "The great, respected, infamous and most loved Luna Balqis of Agatha Pack is running away what will be the fate of the pack members?' "What.... What ..." She stuttered. "Come with me!" Cilix 's authoritative and menacing voice growled at her making Balqis shudder fearfully. Tears came to her face again and rushed down immediately. She felt on her knees before him like Vera advised and pleaded since there's nothing that can seem to free her from this. "Cilix please, let me live to lead this Pack. I can't leave my people behind and flee, I beg of you, I'll give you anything you want I beg of you" She cried. Cilix moved closer to her casting a shadow over her. "I say come with me!!" He yelled. "Cilix please...." "Get her!!!" Cilix yelled and his men appeared from nowhere circling her. Balqis looked like a cockroach under Cilix 's big shadow as she cried but nevertheless, they grabbed Balqis and dragged her away. As she was about to be bundled into the palanquin they had brought, her second chance mate, Micheal suddenly appeared from nowhere. Relief washed over her in a minute. Just five months ago, she met Beta Micheal who journeyed through Agatha for a battle. He made a stop at the pack overnight and was well received by Balqis who found out that he was her second chance mate. Because he was a warrior and doesn't belong to Agatha Pack, Beta Micheal and Luna Balqis didn't have that much of a communication. Seeing him here suddenly is surprising and also relieving for her. Cilix who was about to hop into the palanquin with her stopped and looked back at the man approaching him. "Let go of my mate Cilix Hathaway. You have taken enough lives already! Of what use will the Luna be to you?" Micheal yelled. To Micheal and Balqis's surprise, a cold, calculating laughter suddenly escape from Cilix 's full pink lips. He stood beside the opened Palanquin as he spoke, "Your mate? Oh you're her second mate. Are you really in love with her or you also want to mark her so you can gain Agatha to yourself?" "Cilix !!!!" Micheal shouted angrily and rushed to charged at Cilix but Cilix 's men were strong and they rushed to held Micheal down. "Micheal!!" Balqis shouted from the carriage and wanted to hop out but the men stood by the entrance. With slow but intimidating movement, Cilix walked towards the knelt Micheal and said slowly, "You're a warrior Beta but I'm a Rouge Alpha! Shall we spar with swords or claws and see who will be at whose mercy?" As he said this, tears rushed down Balqis's face in quick succession. She locked eyes with Micheal that looked at her for a second she telepathed with him, 'Why are you doing this Micheal? Leave here and forget about this helpless Luna you're mated to. I'll accept my fate. You're the best thing that will ever happen to me' 'Never letting you go with this monster Balqis, you're my mate and I'll protect you with all I have' Micheal replied telepatically. More tears streamed down her face, Vera growled sadly more than normal, 'Leave Micheal you'll get hurt. Cilix is very strong, you can't beat him' 'No, I will not back down Iike this' Michael was adamant. 'Micheal!!!!' Baliqis suddenly yelled aloud making Cilix and his warriors notice them. She continued, 'For my sake, please leave. I'll return to Agatha one day and I can't sacrifice more lives to save mine at least not yours' Cilix interrupted this hypnotic eye contact and reached to Micheal's jaw. Immediately Micheal looked into his eyes, Cilix spat to his face. "You and I seems to have thesame goal which is to get this Luna, even though you can easily do that if you married her and, but poor you, I'm not that easy of a person " After saying this, he pushed Micheal away, before Micheal could regain his consciousness, Balqis has been bundled into the palanquin and Cilix's men sped away. Micheal stood up to run after them but through the back window, Balqis looked back and shook her head as if to discourage him. Micheal fell on his knees. As the Palanquin sped, Balqis could tell that her life is sealed. No backing out of this, she has became Cilix pawn in gaining control of the pack's power like she imagined . He's going to turn her people into his in no time. When they have reached traveled far enough, Balqis felt a little comfortable with Cilix who was silent. This gave her the chance to study his outline very well. Cilix is very handsome to be sincere. His blue eyes added to his stoic allure. Balqis wondered, how did such a person became a rouge. When she was calm enough to talk, Balqis demanded with an unsteady voice, "What did you want from me? Why did you keep me alive, you could have killed me?" Cilix's cheeks shifted into a smirk, while glint of amusement shimmered in his eyes, "You're right, I should have killed you and still get what I want. But you know what? I just want you alive" "In what way?" Cilix 's voice was coy and dripped with deceit, "You sound too dumb for my liking Luna. I mean, I have no desire to lead that pack of yours that was filed with hypocrites, all I want is you!" To Cilix 's amusement, Balqis laughed, a sad laughter that has thousand of meanings embedded in it, "You want me? For what reason and what use will I be to you?" "You'll see when we get to where we're going" Balqis's eyes widened in horror and panic. "You will never get away with this Alpha Cilix ! I'm ordained by the moon Goddess herself to lead Agatha after my father and trust me, my people will come for me soon and you'll be killed!" Cilix chuckled maliciously, "You will protect your pack with that weak mind of yours or your pack will come and save a Luna who runs away when there's war? Don't get too ahead of yourself Luna, you saved your pack with your life so do your best in obeying me" "I will never allow you!!" She almost screamed. "You're the Luna of the pack but you ran away, you can do this much to save them right?" Balqis's heart sank. She was trapped no going back.
