Standing close to Fyre’s bed, Tian Zi crossed his arms against his chest as he watched the family doctor check his mate’s condition. He’s well aware that he’s being unfair for being upset at his mate for such petty reasons but he couldn’t help it. Fyre knew he’d get worried sick if something were to ever happen to him but he still insisted on doing something so reckless as if he didn’t care at all about what he would feel if he got hurt. *sighs* Sighing in frustration as he massaged his aching temples, Tian Zi suddenly turned upset at himself this time because he hated that he was feeling this way. Why was he blaming his mate?! It’s not like Fyre meant for this to happen so he shouldn’t be upset but at the same time he couldn’t help feeling this way and it was really frustrating. Fyre’s already suffering enough and he couldn’t even handle his own emotions. He thought he had become mature but alas, he might be too far from that. “. . .” Meanwhile, as soon as Tian Zi removed his eyes from Fyre, the Omega then looked at him, observing instead of focusing on the doctor's words and just answering whatever question was thrown at him. Fyre pouted, figuring that the Alpha must have been upset with him. While he does have an idea as to why Tian Zi was feeling this way, at the same time, if his guess was right, he wondered why he was even upset with him? It's not like he purposely made himself feel weak. And speaking of, why was he feeling weak all of a sudden? He was fine until this morning and suddenly while talking to Lucien, all his strength left his body because he was so mad. He was so confident he could handle the situation but in the end, they had to call a doctor to go check him up. "Ahem, are you listening?" Doctor Feng captured Fyre's attention as he cleared his throat. He had finished diagnosing Fyre but it does not seem like the Omega was paying attention to him or even at least concerned about his own condition, the same with Mo Tian Zi who seemed to have something serious in his mind. "Oh, I'm sorry. What is it? What is wrong with me, Doctor?" Fyre asked awkwardly. He was a bit embarrassed for being so preoccupied so he quickly removed his eyes from his lover and shifted towards the family doctor. To be honest, he didn't think there was something wrong with him and that if he could just rest for a bit, he would have recovered on his own but before he could tell that he was fine, Tian Zi was already calling the family doctor over. And because the Alpha wasn't talking to him since his talk to Lucien, he also couldn't tell him otherwise so he had no choice when the doctor’s already arrived. "There's nothing wrong with you so you can rest assured..." Doctor Feng said with a sigh of relief, but he does have another piece of news he'd like to tell the couple but as he watched the two right now, it does not seem like they're on good terms and he wondered why. Normally, they would be all over each other especially the Alpha but right now, they’re keeping their distance. "Ohh, that's good then. Thank you," Fyre replied but it wasn't really a surprise since he knew that already. Tian Zi on the other hand, walked closer to them with a frown as if he was dissatisfied with the diagnosis. "Are you sure? Why was he suddenly turning pale and out of breath then? There’s no way that could have just been nothing," Tian Zi asked and although he was still a little bit upset, it was visible in his tone that he was worried for Fyre's safety. "Well, there is another reason for that," Doctor Feng replied helplessly, and now he was sure the couple must have been in a fight because he had been the couple's doctor since the beginning and he knew for a fact that even when they weren't officially dating yet, they have been very affectionate with each other. But right now, that doesn't seem to be the case. Nevertheless, since he knew the two had been begging for this day to come, he must tell them no matter what the situation is. "What is it?" Tian Zi asked almost impatiently, making Fyre frown this time because he didn't like the Alpha's tone. Doctor Feng is way older than them and although Tian Zi is the employer, that does not mean he should disrespect a man who had worked hard to achieve his status. "Zi, why are you acting mad at Doctor Feng? He's only doing his job. If you're mad at me then tell it right to my face. You're so immature for treating others like that," Fyre said with a deep frown, this time he was finally upset because he knew the Alpha was mad at him for something and was only throwing that frustration at someone else. "I'm not mad. This is just how I am," Tian Zi quickly denied but he could not look at his lover's eyes, making Fyre even more upset because he knew the Alpha was lying. On the other hand, Doctor Feng's eyes widened in shock as he helplessly tried to pacify the two. "Mr. Long, it's fine. I don't mind at all." "No! It's not fine... And no, that is not how you are, i***t! What are you so mad about anyway? It's not like I intended for this to happen, you spoiled brat!" Fyre gritted angrily, his face turning red. Truth be told, he didn't want to be angry but Tian Zi was angry at him so he was confused and in the end, didn't know how to respond but to also be angry. So angry that he was starting to tear up because he felt wronged. "I'm not a spoiled brat and I told you I'm not mad," Tian Zi countered and continued to deny. "How about you? Why are you getting mad all of a sudden?" Tian Zi frowned and this time, he finally decided to look at Fyre directly in his eyes only to catch himself off guard seeing his beloved's eyes becoming doe due to him being on the verge of crying. "I'm mad because you're mad!" Fyre yelled and finally, his tears started flowing down. He was so frustrated because it was the first time Tian Zi was showing how upset he was. Normally, he would still talk to him but now he wasn't. And even if they did have a fight, Tian Zi was the first one who would talk to him. He was upset when the treatment suddenly changed. ". . ." Frozen due to the fact that Fyre was now crying despite his angry expression, Tian Zi didn't know what to do. Whether he should hug Fyre or just keep silent. It's been a long while since they had an argument and although they were used to this, his heart couldn't stop aching because he knew he was hurting his mate. He could see and feel it. "I'm Sorry--Mr. Long is currently pregnant," both Tian Zi and Doctor Feng said in chorus that when both Fyre and Tian Zi heard him, both their heads turned to him in surprise to the point where Fyre’s tears almost immediately stopped. "WHAT!?" the couple said in unison, thinking they might have probably heard it wrong. While they have been trying all this time, they still couldn't believe they would actually succeed since they were told it was almost impossible. It's the reason why they were about to undergo Vitro but now the doctor's saying that he's pregnant? "Yes, at least that's what I suspect it is," Doctor Feng added. Since he also specialized in Chinese Medicine aside from having both MD and DO in medicine, he had ways to diagnose patients that are different from how it is normally done in the hospital. He had a lot of experience despite only being in his 40s due to his family background but he was almost sure Fyre Long was pregnant. He can't tell he was a hundred percent sure because Chinese medicine isn't always correct but his diagnosis clearly says his patient is pregnant. "What do you mean?" "It means if you want to confirm it, we can either go to the hospital and get it checked or we can do a hCG test for the time being. But I do recommend going to a specialist as early as you can considering your situation," Doctor Feng said, which made both Fyre and Tian Zi look at each other. Both of them stared into each other's eyes not saying anything for long seconds before finally, they both smiled and soon hugged happily as if the earlier's argument didn't even exist. "O-Oh, my god! I can't believe it!" Fyre conveyed with a trembling voice as he sat up so he could give Tian Zi a hug but he soon was pushed down when the Alpha towered him over, showering him with kisses. "I knew we could do it. I'm so happy. Finally, we're having our own baby," Tian Zi happily exclaimed, before his kisses soon stopped at his lover's lips. Fyre was caught off guard by the sudden kiss, but he didn't push Tian Zi away and instead wrapped his arms around him responding to the advances. As their lips touched, they both could feel a soft electricity at the tip of their tongues as they battled in passion. As always, even though they have already kissed a million times, it seemed like each time was their first time as their hearts started beating in sync out of excitement. It felt so good that they didn’t want to end it so soon. “Zi~” Fyre called happily, gasping for air and as if they knew exactly what they wanted, the kiss deepened. They didn't care if there was someone else in the room, they were just happy that finally, after wishing for it, they finally managed to conceive. "Hmmmn..." Fyre moaned helplessly, clinging to Tian Zi's towering body but alas no matter how much they wanted to continue, they pulled away panting heavily as a thin thread of saliva continued to connect them until it snapped leaving Fyre all flushed with his rosy lips still gasping for air. "You're lovely, I'm sorry I was upset with you. I love you so much," Tian Zi was the first to say, kissing Fyre's damp eyes as it closed. "I love you too. I'm sorry I got upset with you too," Fyre replied between his heavy breaths and cupping Tian Zi's face. He urged him to lean down so he could kiss the Alpha’s lips again very briefly before they looked into each other's eyes with so much love and affection towards each other. At the same time, Doctor Feng watched all of this unfold before his eyes and he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Everything went so fast and before he could react the previously fighting couple started kissing and declaring their love for each other. "Ahem, I'll be at the drawing room if you're ready to give me your answer," he just said and without waiting for the couple, Doctor Feng left very swiftly like the wind. He has a wife of his own and although he loves his wife and child, they had never been that affectionate with each other. Now he wondered, maybe Alpha and Omega couples are just different? But then again, his parents who are also Alpha and Omega weren't even half as affectionate as the couple or any of the Mo brothers. "Zi, I’m really pregnant,” Fyre said happily and touched his flat stomach. There’s nothing he could say to describe how happy he was but he was glad Zi’s showing the same expression as him. Truthfully, he was feeling a bit guilty towards the Alpha because he knew Tian Zi wasn’t even fond of kids but because he wanted one, Tian Zi did everything he could to fulfill his wish. “Yes, you are. My hard work finally paid off,” Tian Zi joked. And just like Fyre had thought, he didn’t really like kids but he wasn’t against it either so if Fyre wanted one, he’d also wanted one. Besides, he really enjoyed the process and would be more than welcome to do much more if Fyre would have just let him. He’s still young and there is so much more he could still offer. “i***t… but yeah, I’m so happy. Are you happy, Zi?” “Of course I am. In fact, I can’t wait to get this out and plant another one inside you,” Tian Zi said and this time cupped Fyre’s stomach, still could not believe there’s a baby inside his mate at this moment. “Hahaha, I don’t know if I can still do it but let’s try our best from now on,” Fyre chuckled, knowing the Alpha was just joking but he didn’t find that repulsive either. He’d be happy to have one again if that’s what Tian Zi wants. Of course, they both dont know that in the near future, they will receive a dreadful(?) news that would shake the whole Mo family.
