189 - Three babies?!!

After receiving the news, both Fyre and Tian Zi decided it would be better to visit a specialist. While they trust Doctor Feng's diagnosis, there is nothing wrong either if they take it with a grain of salt. Since Fyre's medical condition wasn't in their favor, they need to know if Fyre was indeed pregnant and if he is, whether the child is fine or not.

"Zi, I'm scared. W-What if I'm no—" Fyre admitted. They had already arrived at the hospital and were about to go to the gynecologist's office when suddenly he had cold feet. He's so happy to learn that he's pregnant but what if the doctor was wrong? He doesn't know what he will do no matter how he prepares for it.

"I'll be by your side. Whatever the result, it doesn't matter. We'll do our best either way so don't be afraid, okay?" Tian Zi assured. They haven't reported this to the family yet because they wanted to be sure but if by any chance the doctor was wrong, he didn't care. Either way, if Fyre is indeed pregnant, it would just save them time and effort because if he was not, they were already about to undergo Vitro.

"Aren't you scared?" Fyre asked with a pout, making Tian Zi chuckle and halt from their walk.

"I'm not. We're going to build our family either way. You getting pregnant now will just save us time," Tian Zi said, and even though they were in the hospital hallways, he leaned down so he could give his anxious lover a brief peck on his lips so he wouldn’t worry about such unnecessary things. Meanwhile, hearing what Tian Zi had said, Fyre smiled before he chuckled softly. Tian Zi was right, whether he was really pregnant or not, it wouldn't change anything since they were about to undergo another procedure anyway if they couldn't conceive naturally.

"Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Zi," Fyre expressed and a soft pinkish blush appeared on his cheeks. It’s funny how earlier hell was about to break loose from their fight but now, as if their argument didn’t happen at all. Fyre giggled a bit at how immature they were and wondered when they were going to change.

"Anytime," Tian Zi replied dotingly before they finally headed to where Doctor Feng had referred them, who had actually now become the Mo Family's official Pediatrician and is responsible for taking care of the Mo children's health ever since Mo Luangmin had arrived.

"Hi, I received a call from Doctor Feng, my name's Doctor Mendrez. Please come in," Doctor Mendrez chirped happily. When she first heard the news, she was especially delighted. She had already taken care of both Daniel Mo and Ian Mo and now is the future spouse of the youngest son of the Mo family. As expected, she wouldn't let this pass just to see those babies firsthand. All babies from the Mo family are adorable and she would do anything just so she could see them on a daily basis. Unfortunately, that was not going to happen so whenever she had scheduled visits from any of the family members, she gets excited knowing she will be able to feed her eyes with so much candy. It had become one of the joys of her life.

"Yes, I’m Fyre Long and this is Mo Tian Zi, we're here to confirm a pregnancy?" Fyre said, almost unsure of what he was supposed to say making Dr. Mendrez chuckled. She had seen Fyre more than a couple of times during events hosted by the Mo family where she was invited to and also in social media and indeed, Fyre Long was quite a beauty hidden away inside his dark shade baggy clothes.

“Yes yes yes, please have a seat. Let’s fill in your information form first. I’m going to ask some questions about your health then we can go ahead to the general check-up and hCG test. After that if we see a positive result we can proceed to see your little champ,” Doctor Mendrez informed with a smile. Fyre and Tian Zi looked at each other and there was no need to exchange words as they nodded at the friendly doctor. And as instructed, Fyre underwent questions about his health, after that the nurses took his basic information like his height, his weight, and blood pressure before his blood was finally taken for test.

Everything went smoothly without a hitch and it was actually quick since Doctor Mendrez already read Fyre’s medical record after Doctor Feng had emailed it to her so her questions were just some things he might have experienced recently.

“The blood test will come out after 10 days but your hCG test turns out positive. While this doesn’t mean it’s a hundred percent correct, these things also rarely give wrong results so congratulations for your pregnancy. We can go ahead and check your baby and see how far along you are,” after Fyre was assisted by the nurse to take a urine test, it didn’t take a while for the result to come and as soon as they heard the positive outcome, both Fyre and Tian Zi smiled happily before they hugged and kissed.

“I guess it’s now really official,” Tian Zi conveyed, cupping Fyre’s cheeks. He could already see tears threatening to escape from his lover’s eyes so he quickly wiped it out and kissed the tip of his nose.

“Yeah~” Fyre replied with a trembling voice. He tried his best not to cry but he could help it as tears stubbornly began to flow.

“I think you already heard about it but Mr. Long’s condition was somewhat nullified by Mr. Mo’s dominant class. Since he’s a rare type even among Dominant Alphas, the two of you were a perfect pair. Fortunately, Mr. Long’s medical condition was discovered before it was all too late,” Dr. Mendrez explained and couldn’t help the two must have that kind of pair who was matched in heaven because in Fyre’s situation, it would have really been impossible for him to get pregnant naturally if it was with a normal Alpha.

“Thank you, doctor,” Fyre nodded. To be honest, he really thought they wouldn’t make it so he was so happy he couldn’t stop crying.

“No need to thank me… but we do need to see our little champ to check if it’s in the right place. Please tell us when you’re ready.” Doctor Mendrez smiled and waited for the couple to internalize the news. After a couple of minutes, Fyre was finally ready for ultrasound. He was still nervous but at the same time excited, and as he watched the doctor and nurse ready the equipment, he didn’t know he was holding onto Tian Zi a little bit tighter causing the Alpha to chuckle because he couldn’t help but find his mate adorable. Of course, he too was feeling the same but he knew that from now on, he must be more understanding and patient towards Fyre.

Earlier his attitude was uncalled for and he wanted to punch himself. No wonder Fyre was easily influenced by his emotions and it’s because he’s being hormonal. He had watched how his brother’s wives act before while pregnant and he’s aware that he should be extra careful, especially Fyre who obviously has slight anger issues. He didn’t want to sleep on the floor or in another room so he better be good from now on.

“Alright, it’ll be a little warm but please bear with me,” Doctor Mendrez warned and soon applied a gel-like product on his exposed lower abdomen before quickly and softly pressing the transducer device on it. There was a short moment of silence as both Fyre and Tian Zi watched the monitor. Both their hearts beating faster than normal in anticipation.

“Hmmn?” Doctor Mendrez moved the want all over Fyre’s abdomen before she hummed. She wasn’t sure at first but after seeing through it, she was a little surprised. Of course, at this point it’s still too early to tell but there are already early signs of what she thinks it is.

“W-What is it? Is there something wrong, Doctor?” Fyre asked worriedly. He watched example sonograms online some time ago and while he did understand most of it, the monitor flashed in front of him right now was rather complicated.

“There’s nothing wrong for sure. The embryos had perfectly settled down in your uterus. It’s too early to show you defined features but here…” Doctor Mendrez explained which quickly calmed the couple before she pointed out a very small dot.

“These here are what we called placentas and amniotic sacs, both are the embryos’ nutritional source and protective membranes. And here, these tiny beans are your babies. You should be at least 7 weeks,” Doctor Mendrez carefully said and pointed out three dots on the monitor. At first, Fyre was happy to the point where his tears were threatening to fall again but after the doctor’s words sunk in, he froze and stared at the monitor.

‘Three dots? Doesn’t three dots mean three babies?’ He questioned himself. He narrowed his eyes on the monitor wondering if he was just seeing things but there really were three dots there. It wasn’t until Doctor Mendrez happily announced that his face turned completely pale.

“I know it’s quite a shock for the first time but congratulations, you’re having triplets…”

"What!!?" Fyre exclaimed while Tian Zi silently cursed. He wondered why the doctor said embryos earlier and now his question was answered. It was because they're having triplets!!! How was that even possible?!

"Yes, you're having triplets. They're what you call Trichorionic triples since all three have different gestational sacs. Are you surprised? Didn't Doctor Feng tell you? Your condition is very common among recessive Omegas since they don't go into heat regularly but oftentimes when they do, multiple eggs tend to release during ovulation. Normally, the fertilization rate is low but Mr. Mo is a rare dominant Alpha so this was possible," Doctor Mendrez explained again and she could just see the couple's souls fly out of their bodies. At first, she thought this was a happy event since he heard the two had been trying to have a baby but now that they do—three at that!—it didn't seem like they're happy.

Well, it is indeed a bit of a huge blow to have triplets for your first pregnancy. But then again, if they undergo Vitro, there is also a high possibility to get multiples despite having just implanted one fertilized egg.

"No, it seems he had forgotten to tell such important information..." Fyre replied after a sigh. He can't believe he's having triplets in his first pregnancy. Not one, not two, but three! How in the world did this happen?!

"W-Well, on the brighter side, we won't have trouble identifying them from each other?" Tian Zi suddenly said, which quickly earned a death glare from Fyre that the Alpha had to say "Sorry" immediately in defeat. Fyre's happy that he's finally pregnant and all but this was no time for jokes. How is he going to tell his parents that they're having three babies?! Additionally, is his body even going to handle it? He had seen women and Omegas pregnant with three online and they absolutely do not look so good. It's like demons were growing inside their stomachs at how huge it looked. How is he even going to take care of three babies at the same time?! He can't breastfeed all three. There's no way he was ever going to handle that.

"Should I call Mother or something?" Tian Zi asked not knowing what to do. While he remembered making a joke about having three before but he did not think it would actually happen. This was definitely unexpected news that they might not recover for a while.
