I was sitting by my window reading a book when I noticed Rosie Freeman heading towards the beach side, I checked my phone and saw it was fifteen minutes past eleven what was she doing out this late on a Tuesday night?. It's not like I personally knew Rosie; everyone knew her, the only child of a successful business tycoon and one of the countries leading fashion icons if you didn't know her cause of her parents you'd have to know her for her good looks, a natural beauty most called her she stood out everywhere she went, in school she was hands down the prettiest girl there.
But she always preferred to keep to herself, as I watched her disappear in a distance I couldn't help but have this feeling that something wasn't right, then I heard it calm yet so clear "follow her", I don't even know her I can't just follow a stranger to God knows where dad and Regina would never let me go "Joy follow her" I took a deep breath, said a little prayer, and climbed out of my window. By the time I got to the beach, her head had just completely entered the water I ran as fast as I could into the water, I reached for her, grabbed her hair, and dragged her out of the water
Rosie's POV
"I'm Joy" I looked at her blankly waiting for her to give more details, she looked a little confused "oh sorry I live two houses from your's", "okay Joy can you leave me the f**k alone and mind your own damn business" she turned to me "you don't have to be so rude you know", we both turned our gaze to the sea and just sat there for I'll say thirty minutes, it wasn't boring it was really peaceful that feeling of just knowing you're not alone.
"Why Rosie?", she asked, without taking her eyes off the water "I'm not about to give my whole sob story to a total stranger" she then turned abruptly to me grabbed my hand and started shaking it "hi I'm Joy Daniels, I moved here six months ago, I'm seventeen years old, I go to Springfield high, I'm in eleventh grade, and I love dogs but I'm seriously allergic to cats, nice to meet you Rosie" she blurted out, I was still shocked by her sudden outburst, "see I'm not a stranger Rosie", a small smile formed on my face and it turned into a full on laugh, I've not laughed like this in a while and she started laughing too.
When our laughter died down, not wanting her to ask me anymore questions, I asked "why did you move here?, I never knew your dad had a daughter", her demeanor changed and she looked back to the water, "I'm going to tell you my sob story Rosie"
