Chapter Four

Thana walk in circles follows by Cyran in his wolf form. Cyran looks at his future sister in law in rage. No one ever disrespects him like that public, he is the son of great Talan after all! Suddenly, Cyran lunges at Thana but she could see him coming and take a side step to avoid him.

"Tsk tsk tsk..." Thana wiggling her finger.

Cyran felt he was being tricked. Some of the students laugh at him making his blood boiled. Thana noticed the changes in Cyran body language and watch as Cyran try to attack her again. This time Thana didn't move. She waited and take a step back with her right leg for leverage. As Cyran within hand reach, Thana grabbed his snout and lifted him upward.

Her other hand grabbed a handful of his furs on the back and threw the big mighty wolf across the gym floor. Everyone gasped as they watch Thana easily threw a full grown wolf. Essence knows that her brother will never let this go. Cyran gets to his paws quickly and roars as loud as he could.

Again he pounces towards Thana and again she waited for him to come.

When Cyran close enough for her hand to reach, Thana ball up her fist and punch Cyran's chest. He whines and fell to the floor, trying to get his breathing to normal. She shifted back to his human form and Thana watch him whining in pain. Some of the students wanted to help Cyran but Thana held up her hand. Thana walks towards her future brother in law and looks down on him.

She can see embarrassment, rage, annoyance... sadness coming from his aura.

Thana offers her hand to Cyran. He was hesitant at first but he took her hand nevertheless. As their flesh touch against each other, Thana could see his struggle and the reason why he always bullying his Sister.

"Why are you angry at your own sister for your own wrongdoing?" Cyran was confused by Thana's sudden question.

"What are you talking about?" Cyran asked while rubbing his chest.

"It's not Essence's fault your wife suffers a miscarriage," Cyran’s eyes widened. Not even his father know about the miscarriage that Luce had.

"How did you...."

"I can see someone's experience by a single touch. It's a gift and a curse at the same time,” Thana looks at her friends and motion for them to come forward.

"Sephora, give him the elixir from the pond of life." Sephora nod and reaches for her bag. Sephora gave a little red bottle to Cyran.

"Take this and drink it together with your Wife. If the Goddess have mercy on you, you will be expecting soon." Sephora smile at her friend kind gesture.

Cyran looks at the princess and the bottle in his hand back and forth. He turns to his little Sister and smiles a bit. Essence was too surprised to return the smile. Cyran stands up and bows to the princess.

"Thank you, your highness." Thana nod and walk towards the bench. She just wants to observe what the students do for her first day.

The princess watched as her friends were all friendly with the others. Her friends keep on bugging her to socialize but her eyes are only for her mate. Thana was too shy to say hi to her. Does she keep of thinking that what if Essence rejected her? Thana would not be able to live if Essence rejected her. Essence can feel Thana's gaze making a hole in her back.

Essence mind was racing. Nothing but negative thoughts has been plaguing her mind since their eyes landed on each other. Essence knows how embarrassing it will be if they ended up together.

"Essence the princess is looking at you," Ilya stating the obvious.

"I know that." Essence noticed her brother acting differently. What did Thana say to him? Cyran ends the class with a clap before leaving the gym. Essence and Ilya were about to walk out when Aurelia and Dominika greeted them.

"Hello." Ilya smiles at both of them.

"Hello."

"We just wanted to ask about the three pups that we saved. How are they?" Essence smiled widely.

"They’re all fine. Thank you for saving them." Dominika waves it off.

"It's what we do." Dominika leans into Essence.

"I'm sorry about the princess. She's really shy."

"DOMINIKA!" Dominika cringe and slowly turns to Thana. Essence watch as Thana walk towards the middle of the gym with her eyes fixed on her chest, looking at Thana's bouncing mountains.

"That is such a huge breast." Essence abruptly said.

Ilya, Dominika, and Aurelia hold their laughter in as they heard what Essence had said. Essence realized that she just said something embarrassing and blush in a deep shade of red.

"I never heard little innocent Essence said that before!" Ilya laughs as she can’t contain it anymore.

"Not so innocent now are we," Aurelia winks and laughs.

Dominika and Aurelia bid their goodbyes and made their way towards Thana. Essence followed Ilya to their next class together. Thana and the others waited for everybody to get their asses out of the gym before giving her witch friend her orders.

"Sephora." With one swift move of her wand, Sephora shut and lock the door.

"I've been having this bad vibe all day. I don't know why but we have to be careful from now on," Thana started.

"I smell something fishy, and it’s not the cafeteria food," Sephora added.

Thana looks around and sigh.

"This place has such limited equipment. How do they expect the student to be prepared if this is all they have?" Thana gesture to the broken exercise equipment.

"I mean they trained werewolves and vampires and... dragons!” Blossom added.

"I'll talk to the queen about this," Thana said.

"I think we should go to class now," Ember suggested while fixing her hair using her fingers.

THANA'S POV

THIS HISTORY OF THE GREAT WAR CLASS IS BULLSHIT!

Such a disgrace that they taught lies after lies to the students. Why do I have to be in this lecturing hall room in the first place? This is useless!

"It's a wonder how they can feed the students about this outrageous lies." Sephora finally lost it.

"Exactly." I look around and my eyes landed on Essence who wrote down her notes. As if she could feel my gaze on her, she turns.

I can see a small smile crept on her face but it goes as soon as it comes. I made up my mind, I will talk to her at lunch. We're mates after all. I can't live without her knowing what I feel about her. I want to tell her that I care. I already have this urges to protect her life from any danger. As I was busy gazing at her I notice a couple of guys throwing paper balls at her.

From this disgusting smell, they're both werewolves.

Why do they always try to make her feel bad for herself? Essence body language changes every time they tease her. I could see her shoulder shuddered. Is she crying?

The guys keep on throwing things at her. I decided to make use of having the advantages of taking the upper sitting area. I look around for things I could throw at them. All I have is this book. Well, it's a history book. Thick, useless history book.

I pick up my book and aim at them. Sephora looks at me as if I'm crazy.

"What are you doing?" I didn't answer her.

"Boom," I said under my breath and threw the book as hard as I could. It made an impact on one of the guys and he practically has a bleeding head now.

"WHO THE f**k THREW THAT BOOK!" He yells.

"MR. REDDICK!" The teacher screams at him.

"Reddick?" Dominika tries to hold her laughter but didn’t manage to hide it anymore.

"Such a funny family name." Aurelia laughed.

"You guys! Be nice." Sephora tries to keep a straight face.

"Hush! He's the next alpha of the Blue Cave Pack." Ember said lowly.

"So?" I questioned Ember, who is now being kissed by Dominika.

"That pack is the second strongest pack in the realm,” she tries to say while devouring my Dominika.

"So you're telling me a person like that..." I pointed to Reddick guy again.

"Is going to lead a pack of warriors?" I laugh.

"That's bull," My eyes caught a sight that that bastard still throwing things at my Essence.

"You know what...." I reach out for my sword and walked towards this Reddick guy.

"Hey, bastard," I called out before tracing the tip of my sword on his neck.

"Why are you f*****g disturbed, my mate?!" Suddenly a girl knelt before me and beg for me to not kill him.

"Please your highness, don't kill him." I look deep into her eyes. I retreated my sword from his neck.

"Stand... give me your hand." She slowly offers her hand but I forcefully grab it. Slowly but surely I saw her life in my eyes

"He rejected you," She couldn't even look at me.

"I know, but he is the next alpha." Suddenly I felt a soft touch on my shoulder.

"Thana, let him go, please." It's Essence.

I keep my sword away and sigh.

"Follow me, both of you..." I turn to face Essence's friend.

"That includes you." I lead the three of them to the upper sitting area. Sephora and the others greet them.

"You can continue to teach the class now sir," I shouted.

"You girls join us for lunch later. No buts." I said and focus on the class. Well not really, I'm just nervous around Essence. I could see she cares for this girl.

"I'm sorry Essence."

"Hey, it's fine. I'm ok, everyone is okay." Essence smile at this girl.

"You girls are friends?" I asked. They both nodded.

"We're from the same pack." Essence informed.

"My father is her father’s beta." I nod.

After a dreadful hour of class finally, it's lunchtime. I let them lead me since I’m too busy checking Essence out. She sounds so cute when she laughs with my friends.

"Thana... This is Accalia." Sephora introduced me to the brown hair girl that just minutes ago beg me not to kill the father of her child.

As we entered the vast looking cafeteria, I noticed the design somewhat looks like the public cafe in the castle. They even have the same marble flooring and walls. Black chandelier, white marble chairs, and tables.

"Déjà Vu much." I heard Sapphire said. We decided to sit on a table near the food counter. Since Dominika offer to take our order, I ask for some fresh blood. Unfortunately, Dominika came back with a..... Juice box.

"What the…?" I questioned.

"Blood," Dominika said confidently.

"This is a juice box!" I bantered.

"It's what the human commercialized. Blood in a juice box, million dollar idea." I sigh. I try to sip the blood and I literally puking it out.

"This is disgusting!" I want to wipe my mouth with the back of my hand but someone beat me to it.

"Here." Essence said and wipe the extra blood on my mouth.

“Thanks." Essence smiled.

"Thana..." I offered my hand.

"Essence."

"Nice meeting you." She smiled.

"Likewise." I feel my stomach burst into flames. I don't think it’s even possible until now. her smile, her smells... It's all like a drug to me.

As our skin touch against each other, I feel a huge electrical wave washes over both of us. Suddenly, a loud cheer interrupted us both while we were admiring each other’s aura.

"Ugh. It's the Football team. The jerks of all jerks." I turn to the door. Soon enough group of guys entered the cafeteria.

"They’re all werewolves?" Sephora asked.

"Because other creatures have zero will to play." Ilya joked.

"Most vampires in this academy aimed for business and management, you know money and all. And the werewolves tend to show who's superior. The remaining creatures decided to watch and laugh at the corner." Ilya explained.

"In other words they all losers and nerds?" Dominika just has to be so open.

"Exactly," Ilya added

"Alright, and those?" Aurelia asked. I turn in the direction she pointed. A group of girls walks into the cafeteria wearing very provocative dresses and heels.

"Those are the popular girls, Ilya's Friend." Essence said.

"What she meant, most of them came from my pack." I watch them as they flirting with the jerks.

"So they flirted and have s*x? That's it? That's the purpose of them go to this academy?"

"You can say that." Essence replied. One of the 'popular girls' notices me before she winks. I scooted over to Essence and marking my territory.

"I'm really hungry," I said out loud.

"Do you want me to buy something? Meat? My blood?" Whoa, what did Essence just said?

"Your blood?" She shrugged.

"Isn't that what mate thing is?" She clearly has no idea, just like I am.

"Why would you think I will ever drink your blood?" I asked, amused.

"I don't know. Sometimes I saw these girls did it." She pointed at a group of vampires behind us. Aurelia and I look at each other before smiling at her.

"Essence I think you saw them having sex." She looks at me confused.

"Thana I know how people have s*x. They obviously didn't." I chuckled.

"Sometimes vampires bite each other before the ritual. They bite and released some type of venom that will help with the s****l pleasure and orgasm." Aurelia explained.

Her mouth hangs open after hearing Aurelia explanation.

"Oh Goddess, I just saw them have sex." I laugh at my mate’s reaction. I pinched her nose and continue to laugh.

"Sorry, I shouldn’t do that," I apologize.

"It's fine." She smiles at me.

"Essence..." I heard someone calling her name.

"I see you finally meet your mate... Hi! I'm Moana, Essence's sister. And I know you! Princess Thana Akeldama," She looks awfully pale. She bows and apologizes.

"I'm sorry your highness." I tilted my head.

"It's fine." Moana offered me her hand and I shake it. Immediately, her life came through my eyes. Loving boyfriend... Nice life...

"Nice meeting you." I lean in.

"But you do need to be careful with the alcohol consumption." Her eyes widen. I offered her a sad smile.

"Sorry. It's a gift and a curse at the same time." I apologize.

"Anyway... I'm going out with Barion. Can you go home with Ilya or Accalia?"

"I can send her." I offered immediately.

"Really?" I nod.

"Thank you." Essence looks so lost.

"Is she always this clueless."

"Every day, every minute, every second." hmm, seems legit.

Moana bid her goodbyes and leave. The day goes on as we go to our class.

ESSENCE'S POV

I am currently standing side by side with my mate! My heart can't stop beating so fast. Is this what having a mate feels like? Goddess, this is truly such a blissful feeling.

"Well. I didn't know I’ll sending someone today. I hope that's okay," I nod.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't bother you like this. I bet there's a lot of work for you to do than sending me." She waves it off.

"It's what every mate should do. Here," She offered me her helmet. "You?" "I don't have to wear any. I don't think they will dare to sue me." She laughs.

She mounts her bike and helps me to up as well.

"Come on. I don't bite." She chuckles. I touch her shoulder as my support and mount the bike. She started the ignition and squeeze the accelerator. I watch as the student watching us, wonder why I'm in the back of the princess's bike.

"Tell me where you live!" She shouted. I show her the way and she smiles as she follows my instruction. the ride was not that bad at all even though this is my first time riding a bike. Soon, I could see my pack’s front gate.

"We need to stop at the gate. It’s the law of the pack," She nod. Moments after we had arrived in front of the gate, our guards came to check on us. I took off the helmet and they finally show a relief sign.

"Essence Morag and Princess Thana Akeldama," I announced before they bow to the princess.

"I'm sorry for not recognized you, your highness." They apologize.

"It's cool." They open the gate and we go through it.

"Whoa. Nice place." I scoffed.

"I'm pretty sure the castle easily beat us." She chuckles.

"Yes. But my mothers’ and I find it quite boring. So I asked my friends to stayed with me in the castle."

"You let outsider inside royal palace?" She nod.

"Aurelia, Sephora and Dominika have been my friends since birth." She chuckles.

"Their parents work for mine, protecting the realm from danger. And when they’re old enough to have mates, I invited them too." oh wow, how noble.

"Essence?" I turn and its Ricca.

"Ricca." She walks towards us. She bows.

"Your Highness."

"Just call me Thana." Beautiful and modest.

"I'm Ricca. Essence sister in law." Ricca offers her hand. Thana took it and again she froze. Didn't move... Didn't say anything. But when she's back to normal, she just smiles and leans into Ricca.

"How far are you?" Her question shocked us both.

How did she know Ricca and Mondo is expecting?!

"Umm... 12 weeks." Ricca looks at me.

"I didn't mention about it." She chuckles.

"I'm sorry. Whenever I touch someone's hands for the first time, I have this occurring images that the person had experienced. It's a gift and a curse for me." She explained.

"Well, why are you asking the guest to stand outside. Come in." Luce said behind us.

"Remember Cyran? The guy you beat at the gym, my brother?" She nod.

"That's his wife, Luce." She looks at her and smiled.

"Thana..."

"Luce." Again that face.

"Soon." she patted Luce's hand.

"Soon." Luce looks confused. As we about to enter the house front door, Thana suddenly turn her body and grab Ricca and I towards her.

"Stay behind me." She put her arms around Luce and shove her behind her back.

"What's going on?" Ricca asked.

"Rogue..... 3 of them... Bloody... They just killed the guards..." Thana said.

What's happening?! Never in the history of dads pack someone dares to trespass his territory.

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"The castle with Mom," Luce says.

"Mondo? Cyran?"

"Doing their rounds."

"Abe and Aura?" I asked

"They went back to Abe's pack," Ricca said with a shaky voice.

A loud howl startled us. Three wolves suddenly jumped in front of the mansion. They shifted back to their human form and smirk.

"Such pity the guards doesn’t even know we're here."

"Oh look!" One of the guys beamed.

"Oh wow. We will have a nice and prosperous day boys..."

Without warning, they attack while the three of us seek protection fromThana.
