The Princess's Bride

Chapter Three

Kharis fixes her daughter's clothes and smiled.

"Pretty like always." Thana blushed.

"Mommy stop it." Kharis laughed at her daughter's sudden reaction.

"Always so shy." Kharis gave her daughter a kiss on the forehead for good luck.

"Come on, let's eat. I don't want your mom to finish all the food before we even get there." Thana nod and followed her mother’s footsteps.

On their way to the dining hall, Kharis walks through the vast hallways of her castle and knock on every door.

"Dominika...." She knocks and waited for the silky black hair girl to open the door. Dominika turns the knob and she was greeted by the queen. She put her hand on her chest and bow. Kharis smiles and walks towards the second door.

"Sephora...." Again she knocks. Sephora immediately opens the door and bow to the Queen. The queen smiles and turns to the girl behind the witch who used concealing magic to erase her presence. But the with the Queen’s talent in magic, it's futile.

"You too Blossom." Sephora blushed. Blossom immediately walks to Sephora side and bow. She continued to the last door and knock.

"Aurelia..." Aurelia was wiping her bloodstained mouth when she heard a couple of knocks on her door. Aurelia opens the door and bow.

"Sapphire?" Aurelia blushed. She calls for her mate and they both bow to the queen.

"Let's go have some breakfast shall we?" They all followed the queen to the dining hall.

Everyone that was on the path of the queen and her escort bow as she passes them. Kharis smiled at every single one of them. Even though she’s the Queen, the servants see her as a vampire who has the perfect motherly image because she never gets mad at anything. But when she does, not even Kora can handle her rage. The guards open the door that leads to the dining hall. Kharis noticed her wife is devouring every bit of the food. She clears her throat.

Kora stops and lets go of the piece of meat that she was about to eat. She smiles sheepishly at her wife.

"Morning." Kharis smile.

"Morning my queen." She went to her side and kiss her forehead. Thana and the others went to their usual chair and sit. The maids begin to walk around and places mouthwatering food in front of them. The maids place a cup of fresh blood in front of the princess.

"Thank you." The maid nod. Kora looked at everyone.

"I'm sorry for letting your parents do my work overseas." She apologizes.

She knows some of them really wanted their parents to be there for their first day in the academy.

"My queen... You don't have to apologize." Aurelia politely says.

"Yes. I don't think Mom would like to see me off to the academy anyways. She's not fond of that place." Sephora added. Kharis chuckled.

"Besides we're old enough." Dominika finished.

"You're the youngest out of all of us." Aurelia butt in. Dominika puffs her chest up.

"Yes, I am," Both Queen laughs at the young dragon.

"Alright, you two settle down. Your parents have been working really hard. So please check the royal garage after this." Sephora looks at the queen with a puzzling look.

"Are we using one of the human cars?" Sephora asked.

"Just go and check it out," Kora said and stand up. She walks towards her daughter and kisses her forehead.

"Good luck today Thana. And please, meet your mate officially. Bring her here as soon as you can. I can't wait to have a daughter in law." Kora smile and transform herself into a bat. She flew towards the direction of her office.

With the last sip from her drink, Thana looks at everyone and excuse themselves since they don’t want to be late for their first day. Kharis took this chance to follow them towards the garage.

"Sephora. Your mother is so proud of you. So here," Kharis pointed at a sleek white Audi R8. Sephora's eye widens as she examined the car.

"No way!" She turns to Kharis with her eyes beamed.

"She bought me a human car?!" Kharis nod.

"I did tell her that using the broom is bad for my back. I will call her right away." Kharis smile and turn to Aurelia.

"That's your new ride." She pointed at the piercing red Jaguar F-Type.

"Fuck..." Aurelia breathes out.

"I never thought dad would listen to what I say!" Kharis smiled.

"Dominika... That's yours." Kharis pointed to the grey Porsche 918 Spyder. Dominika literally slumped to the floor and crawl to the car. Thana watch her friends, wondering about something. She walks towards her mother and touches her shoulder.

"Mommy. Did you and Mom bought all this?" Kharis quickly cover her mouth.

"Hush my child. They have been doing so much for us and I thought a little gift will be perfect for their first day." Thana smiled.

"We should go now." Kharis nodded. Thana reaches out for her keys for her black BMW S1000RR bike.

"Don't forget your cloak, Aurelia." She mounts the bike and turns on the ignition. She squeezes the accelerator a few times and put on her helmet. She waits for her friends to be in their car. Thana honks a couple of times and shot off through the road that leads to the Academy.

Meanwhile, at the Dark Blood pack house, Essence was waiting patiently by the front door for her sister, Moana.

"BARION, COME ON!" Moana screams for her boyfriend. Moana and Barion will be the next alpha and Luna for Barion's pack and Essence notice that Moana probably is the one who will ordering the alpha around. Barion literally follow her sister around like a puppy dog. And it seems like without her, he will lost his way around.

"Why are you so early? It's 7 am." Barion checking the time.

"I want to see Essence's mate." Essence face palm herself.

"Moana I don't think she will come to see me first thing in the morning. Can we just go? I have pup duty." Barion smile and nod. He's the only guy that doesn’t find any joy bullying her much. But because of his mouth, Essence always ended up in trouble.

Barion walks towards his pride and joy, his black Rolls Royce Dawn and opens the door for Moana.

"Such gentleman,” Moana wink at her mate.

Essence decides to jump at the back seat when Barion walks towards the driver's seat and turn the ignition on before he started to drive. While Barion was driving carefully through the bumpy road, a couple of sports car drove past him, leaving him in awe.

"Whoa! I never saw those cars before. And it's heading towards the academy," Barion exclaimed. He almost lost control of his car when a loud bike engine roar right beside them.

Thana was chasing after her friends when she saw a black car driving in such slow motion.

"Oh come on!" She yells and squeezes the accelerator hard. Thana was about to pass them when she makes eye contact with the passenger who sits at the back.

Thana smile and discreetly and winks at her. Essence was surprised when her eyes saw the motorcyclist winks at her. She just watches as the person shot off and disappear on the road.

"That's a f*****g BMW S1000RR! That model isn’t out on the market yet!" Barion exclaimed.

"Baby. Can you please drive faster than this." Moana begged her boyfriend. Essence was too deep in thought since her mind can’t resist the temptation to think about the mysterious winker. Moana tries to call for her sister but she seems lost in her own world.

"Earth to Essence! We're here." Moana violently shaking her sister’s body. Essence shakes her head and jumped off the car. She was about to walk to the school’s main building when she notices the person on the bike from earlier. She immediately hid behind a nearby tree and waited for the person to remove its helmet. At first, the rider pulls off the gloves and Essence gasp at the red blood nails. Then the mystery rider unzips its jacket, making the rider’s breast and perfect curve body visible.

Essence now confirmed it that the rider is indeed a woman. And now she has a slight knowledge of who she might be. Lastly, when the rider took off her helmet, letting her wavy golden hair being blown away by the wind, Essence beginning to hyperventilating as she inhales such aromatic scene coming from the rider. Now that Essence sees the princess without the armor, she noticed how... beautiful she is.

"Wow." Essence breathes out.

"Exactly. Wow." Barion said beside her. Moana heard what her mate says and smack his head hard.

"You only allowed looking at me." Moana joins her sister and watches as the princess got off her bike and place the helmet on top of the bike.

"Lucky you huh." Moana elbow her sister’s side.

"Shut up Moana." Moana laughs at how her sister’s reaction.

Thana looks around and her eyes landed on her friends walking towards her. Thana sigh and fix her hair up in a ponytail. Sephora and Blossom was the first one who greets her.

"Thana. I can see your mate staring at you. Go and mingle." Thana look at her friends in horror.

"I don't want to be desperate. It's too early."

"Are you scared Thana?" Dominika questioned.

"No, just nervous." They all gasped.

"I never heard the great Thana nervous before," Sapphire joked and pull her red hair to the inside of her cloak. Aurelia chuckled.

"We did. When we tried to slaughter the rogue vampires in Russia," Thana suddenly smelts something... familiar. She looks around and examined every part of the area.

"What's wrong?" Sephora asked her.

"I don't know. I just thought I smelt something familiar." Dominika quickly sniffed herself.

"Not me. I took a shower today." Thana looks at her friend in disbelief.

"I didn't mean you Dominika," Dominika chuckled.

"Let's go to the principal's office. I really don’t want to get burned from the sunlight." Aurelia said while fixing her cloak.

"You royalty have everything so easy," Sapphire said making Thana laughed.

Sephora and Blossom lead the way to the principal's office, smiling at the student who gave them a clear path. Dominika, on the other hand, looking around for her dear mate.

"Who are you looking for?" Thana asked.

"Ember. She said she will meet me here." Thana grabbed her friend's face and forcefully turn it to the side.

"She's right there." Dominika smiles widely and ran towards her mate. Thana whistle as Dominika dragged her mate towards her.

"Princess." Ember bow.

"No need to bow." Ember smile.

"Sephora, principal office," Sephora nod and lead the way.

"Thana... That's Moana. Your future Sister in law." Aurelia said and turned to the direction Aurelia was referring to. That’s when she smell it again, the familiar scent. She quickly turns around and stare directly towards the window overlooking the vast field.

Nothing.

Thana shakes the thoughts away but stayed alert of her surroundings. Sephora knock on the door and they all went inside. Thana sigh as she noticed the principals smirking face.

ESSENCE'S POV

I watch as my so call mate disappear towards the principal office. I sigh mentally. Now that I look at her face, she's truly exceptional, beautiful and so out of my league. I noticed how some of the vampires staring at her chest as she walk down the hallways. I mean I look at her chest too but she's my mate. I can look at her anywhere I want. But not these other creatures!

Since I'm feeling a little possessive, oh Goddess of the moon, are you trying to tell me that she truly is my mate? I smile as I think how lucky I am to be chosen as a mate to a very beautiful creature like her.

"Hey. Stop grinning like an idiot." Ilya decided to interrupt my little fantasy.

"Come on. We cannot be late to combat class." I nod and follow my friend to the gym. As I walk, a familiar scent invaded my nostril.

"Why is Cyran here?!" I asked Ilya.

"He's replacing Mr. Xeva." That’s not good! He will embarrass in front of everyone. He will do whatever it takes to make my life miserable. It's not enough that he looks down on me at home, now he wants to do that at school too?!

"Relax. It will be alright." Ilya tries to convince me but she fails to do so. I walk through the gym and sigh at Cyran smirking face.

"Hello, little sister." I can't even look at his face.

"Now the weakest please come forward." He looks at me. I walk towards him and just accept whatever coming towards me.

"Oh, I thought that you would never call yourself weak in front of others now that you found your mate." He pushes my head using his finger.

"Ugh! You’re such an embarrassment to the Morag name," He said out loud. I try to hold my tears in. I don't want to show him that he has won. Cyran turned to everyone.

"IN PAIR! NOW!" His voice booming. They’ve gone scattered around to find their pair.

"Not you, you’ll only be a burden," Suddenly I felt someone’s gaze on me. I glance up to see the princess and her friends watching me. But the princess, in particular, her eyes never blink as she stares at me.

"Pick up a weapon of your choice and start the close combat lesson," Cyran said and start the lesson.

"Aim carefully. Find your attacker’s weak point. Attack when they least expect it." I just watch everything from the side. I stole glances at the princess direction and she still looking at me. Her soft gaze makes me want to cry on her shoulder. I quickly wipe my tears that’s already on my cheek.

"SEE! THE WEAK ONLY KNOWS HOW TO CRY!" Cyran said.

"What did you say?" I glance up to see the princess walk towards my brother.

"Oh look, princess Thana Akeldama." Cyran bow.

"How lovely to be in your presence." He said with annoyance.

"I asked... What did you say about her?" Cyran looks at me with a smirk.

"Her? She's my sister. The weakest werewolf ever born in the realm,” He answered. The princess turns to me.

"The weakest, you say?" The princess sigh, making Cyran laugh.

"Oh, princess. She's the weakest for sure. That girl will only bring shame to you. Well, I don’t think it will make such differences since you’re weak as well." Everybody that’s inside the gym gasped at Cyran's comment. The princess raised her brows.

"What did you say? Can you please repeat that." Cyran walks forward and repeats what he said to the princess.

"You're the beta yes?"

"I am."

"SEPHORA!" She yells and instantly the witch went to her side. She whispers something to her and Sephora gave her nod. Thana turns to my brother and smirks.

"Let's see how powerful you claimed to be, beta."

"You can shift, you can use weapons and you can do anything to me," She said and take a few steps back to give them both some space.

"You just disrespect the crown princess, beta. I won't let that happen," Cyran smirks and crack his knuckle. I can see his body trembling before he shifts to his mighty form.

"Ahhh, so scary." The princess said with a straight face.

Her friends laughs and push the other students away to make a circle around the two.

KORA'S POV

"Your Highness... Alpha Talan Morag and his Wife the Luna just arrived."

"Send them in." He bows and closed the door. I glance up at my Wife who sitting gracefully on the love seat.

"Thana's in-laws." Kharis smile.

"Be nice, baby." Minutes later the door creaked open and soon the presence of a very intimidating man invaded the surrounding.

He is truly the mighty Talan. He's so... tall and bulky. Kharis stood up and greet Ardra, the Luna.

"Ardra! It’s been forever since we’ve met." Ardra bow to my wife.

"Queen Kharis, likewise," I stood up and offers my hand to the mighty Talan. He looks at my hands and smile.

"My queen." He bows at both of us. I offer them both to have a seat while Kharis went to my side, smiling.

"My queen." Talan started.

"I know we're all well aware of what's happening to our girls. But I hope that you’re fully aware that I am an alpha, I need my kids to give me an heir, a blood-related heir." I know where this is going.

"Alpha Talan, I can assure you, my daughter and your daughter will have little kids running around my castle and your mansion when they mated," I said rather boldly.

I can see the confusion on the Morag's face. Kharis clear her throat.

"What my wife meant is, Thana is capable of giving... dear Essence a child," Talan's face was priceless.

"How is that possible? They both female." Ardra was surprised.

"King Dracul, my Father, place a... you can say a spell on me to have Thana. When Thana came to age, I did the same thing to her," Talan looked at me and my Wife.

"Are you saying she has a......" I nod.

"Don't worry about that little stuff since daughter is capable, okay?" I smile.

"So, according to the letter you’ve sent, you have a request for me. What is it?" Talan turns to look at his wife.

"We have a slight problem about some group of rogue and hunters. Several of our pack members were found dead during their usual round." I look up to Kharis.

"We can send Thana and her friends to check it out." Talan agreed with my decision.

"And it will be perfect for our daughters to bond. Right?" Talan sigh.

"My queens. My daughter, she's not like yours. She's... not prepared for anything. She's just a delta and I don't know if she will be like what you expected."

"That's where Thana become useful. She will be her guide through life. Since we will be close friends from now on, let us help each other. Thana will help you with the rogue and hunters. And I need help you train my guards." Talan looks at me as if he's thinking.

"Sure, as you wish, my queen." He bows. It's not easy to make an alpha bow his head. Kharis smile widely.

"It's going to be lunchtime soon. How about you two join us for lunch?” Kharis politely invited them.
