CHAPTER 3

AMBER

His hands browsed my whole body as we laid together.

"I could bet the Moon Goddess formed you on a special day.." he teased.

"Hmmm…."

"I want you, Amber," he spoke in a sweet tone.

I blushed. "Be my mate," he added.

I chuckled as he kissed me passionately on the neck.

I moaned passionately as I caressed his curly hair with my bare hands.

His wet lips captured mine and our bodies made immense contact as we laid together underneath the sheets.

I cuddled in his arms and his warm embrace created a sense of comfort inside my soul.

I had never been so happy, all my life. Giving Kane my body was something I would do over and over again.

He made me so comfortable. “Is there something else you want?” he suddenly asked.

I shook my head as I laid my head on his bare chest.

“So you are fine now?”

That was a question he wouldn’t figure I was lying to if I ever answered in the negative.

“Not really Kane,” I muttered.

“I figured. What is the problem? He asked.

“I know you will keep to your promise of making me your mate but do you think this won’t be a problem…..that the son of a high tank Elder in the pack is mating with a wolfless Omega?” I questioned.

“Why do you always give yourself a headache over everything, my love? I have made my intentions known and that is what will happen. Whatever anyone thinks, is their business not ours!” he lashed out in response.

“Bu----“

“No buts…” He interrupted before I could completer my sentence.

All of a sudden, I heard echoes of my name from afar.

“Oh, highness,” I shut my eye so tight.

That has to be Sheila calling my name, the new lady my father has decided to take up as a wife.

“I have to go,” I said to Kane as I wore my clothes hurriedly.

“Wait a little bit with me,” he said as he tried to pull my hands but I blew him a kiss and ran off.

I got to the pack house only to meet Sheila waiting for me at the entrance.

"Greetings, my Luna," I bowed.

"Cease those greetings, You worthless thing!! I don't want them," she rolled her eyes at me.

"And where are you coming from?" She asked.

"I….I…was…." I stuttered.

"Oh you can't speak, now..You've gone on your wicked adventure, uhn and then you come back here acting like we should pity you," she lashed out at me.

I had to defend myself. This was the second time in a row I would be accused of such.

"I was only in the woods," I spilled, my voiced sounding a bit confident than usual.

She laughed and mocked me right on that spot. "Oh look, the witch who killed her mother now has a bold voice?"

The moment those words escape from her mouth, a tear dropped from my eye.

Truly I am cursed cursed even the pack thinks I killed my mother.

I didn't say a word as I gently walked past her.

"Come here!!!" Sheila shouted at me.

She pulled my hair all of a sudden. "How dare you walk out on me?"

"I'm your Luna and you should respect me!" She spoke in a harsh tone.

Before I could say a word in protest, she held my hair again and pulled it with force.

I screamed aloud.

"What are you screaming for? Help? You think your father will hear you and show his face?"

She scoffed and burst into laughter.

I shook my head. "What have I done to this woman?"

Ever since the death of my mother, it's been hell and worse for me. It seemed like my father was in a haste as he had instantly taken up a wife for himself..

"If you think anyone will come to your aid, you are deceiving yourself!"

She pushed me to the ground and I fell flat to the floor.

"I'm make sure I ruin everything for you…you worthless b***h!" She lashed out at me.

I crawled, trying to get up on my feet.

My bones had suddenly become weak. I must have hit my leg hard on the ground.

I wept.

SHEILA

"That Amber girl…"

My wolf shrieked from within.

"I would make sure I have her sent out of this pack!"

"She annoys me. I don't even want to see her around me.."

Alpha Reuben suddenly entered into my quarters.

"What's wrong, my Luna?" He said as he place his arms around me, making me rest my head on his broad chest.

"Is it not that thing you call your daughter?!" I vented.

"Amber? Do you need me to discipline her?" He said.

"Oh yes but this time around, just have her chased away..feed tmher to the rogues or something," I said.

He didn't say a word.

"Can't you see she is a curse to this pack, my love? She brings nothing but shame to the Stark pack.."

"…And I don't even trust her..not one bit..she goes out into the woods and comes back looking like something I don't know.." I complained.

"Hmmm…my darling Sheila..you know I can't just send her out of the pack without valid reasons. Even I, don't want her here but I am the Alpha and I have to be reasonable with my actions…" he explained.

"So you won't do anything about it?" I asked.

"I will but right now, there is no particular evidence we have against her, my Sheila.." he said.

A knock suddenly hit the door.

"Alpha Reuben," one of the wolf guards called out from outside.

"Speak…"

"Your attention is needed at the Grand Hall," the wolf guards spoke.

"Sheila…I'll be back and we'd discuss this," he gave me a kiss on the forehead and left.

"Hmmm.."

"No particular evidence against her, uhn?" I said to my inner wolf.

"We shall see!!"

"Amber, I will end you myself!"
