Alessia: The next time the door was knocked, I wasn’t even surprised. I had already caught his scent. Only this time, the plate that the maids brought in for me was half empty. Not because I wanted to eat. But because nausea and hunger fought each other until I gave in just to quiet them both. The door opened without a knock. Of course.
