EIGHTEEN

When he arrived back, he went straight to the dungeons. He was shocked to find Gabriel in human form still. “I’m sorry I touched your sister; you have every right to kill me” is all he got out before his best friend dropped to the floor and sobbed. He leaned against the bars as Gabriel tried to comfort him. “You stayed, didn’t you?” Through his sobbing, “yes, it was awful” he said. “Trust me I know man; I wasn’t expecting it. I thought she was gonna die” Gabriel said. His best friend nodded, “I checked she was breathing before I left. I shouldn’t have left her, but I thought I was gonna die from her pain” he said. Gabriel patted his back “please don’t tell me she did the bone thing again” he said as his best friend leaned over and threw up. “Oh, I guess she did. I had to make her stop that, I couldn’t take it” Gabriel said with tears in his eyes. “How?” I barely got her to stop”. Gabriel’s eyes dropped, “the thing that shall not be named”. He sat there waiting for his best friend to punch him again. “I should have left her here, with you”. He said staring off. “No man, there’s no way she could have stayed here. Not like that”. Gabriel said rubbing his shoulder. “But you made it stop. She’s all alone, suffering” he said sobbing again. “She knows what’s best. She’s done this before. She’ll be back soon” he nodded. They sat there for a while in silence. “Um, buddy?” Gabriel said. “Yea?” Logan replied. “You should go. My wolf is unhappy that she’s not here. Go! Now!” Gabriel yelled as his friend ran out of the dungeon. He heard the growls as he shut the dungeon doors.
