CHAPTER 24 Sunday is a good day. I take Sammy for a long walk in the park while Jeff is busy. It’s a beautiful, sunny day, and after an hour walking, Sammy and I are both roasting, the difference being that I’m sweaty and Sammy is just panting. When I get home, I fill the tub with hot water and have a good, long soak. When I get downstairs in my pyjamas, ready for a lazy night on the couch in front of the TV and perhaps a glass of wine, a wonderful smell of tacos fills my nose.
