CHAPTER 25 It’s Friday. I should be excited. Jeff will hopefully get the new release out of his system and be finally able to move on. Instead, I wake up with a great feeling of dread. I should have taken the day off, but I haven’t. I sit down at my laptop like any other day with a mug of coffee and a croissant in front of me. I’ve barely dug into my emails when Jeff enters the room. He’s got his hands in the back pockets of his black jeans. The sun shines on his hair, giving it a golden hue it doesn’t naturally have.
