Julian and Edward stay silent for a long moment. Ed looks at the speech Parker Evans had a writer prepare for Julian to tell on his wedding day. He looks at the rings his mother bought by herself, and the shoes brought by the stylist.
None of all this was done or made by Julian. He had his life controlled since he was a child, and it's still going on in his twenties. His parents do everything on his stead, their own choice and taste, without even consulting their son.
Ed frowns as he looks at the door, "You know, you can still be happy," he says, making Julian open his eyes. "You can if you walk out of this door, but instead of turning left to the wedding hall, you'll turn right to the exit door."
Julian gulps and follows Ed's gaze to the door. "If only I could, Ed."
