It had been two days since what happened with Mr. Ambrose in the washroom and well, Elizabeth was at least grateful he had keep his distance. Not that she wasn't craving for his touch, especially now that she had once felt it in her skin and the sensations of it were incomparable, but she was not a bit less angrier with him. He was indeed a narcissist, egocentric, full of himself jerk who thought he could get anyone he wanted only because of his charming looks and his sexy brain. Well, not her. At least not anymore. She had make up her mind, she would never allow him near her ever again.  It was for the better. Elizabeth was having some time alone at the library-café inside the campus, enjoying her usual hot chocolate, listening music in her ear pieces and writing. Life had gone by so fast these past weeks since she came to New York and she felt like she didn't have time anymore to do the thing she loved the most; writing poems and novels no one had ever read and probably would never read. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the figure standing in front of her for more than two seconds.  Of course it was her professor, in his usual suit, today a blue one.  Her eyes got stuck at his well built body before she looked away, completely ignoring him, even though the sensations in her body coming from his gaze only were driving her insane. "Can I have a word with you Miss Brown?" She heard his husky voice and she saw around only to realize that the café was completely empty. "Yeah," she mumbled, finally removing her ear pieces as he sat down in the chair in front of hers. She wanted to go away and leave him there, he deserved it, but the waiter who happened to be in one of her classes was watching with some curious eyes so she decided stay and act normal. "What were you writing?" Daniel asked curiously, wanting nothing more but a normal conversation with her, like the one they had in the bar but she rolled her eyes annoyed and he realized they weren't gonna have one. At least not today and not soon too. "It's none of your business," she snapped and he could hear irritation in her voice but he decided to ignore it. "I understand," he continued and she couldn't say what he was thinking, like usual. "So this is it? You're gonna ignore me for the rest of the year?" She could see she saw a little bit of sadness in his eyes and it almost softened her heart. Almost. "Why shouldn't I?" She asked, bitterness and disappointment obvious in her expression. "I'm sorry... for that day. It was stupid from me, it won't ever happen again," he apologized sincerely but she chuckled in irony, the idea of him being away from her making her crazy but the idea of him breaking her wall making her crazy too. "Oh please save it," she continued, wanting to get up but he put his hand on hers softly, which stopped her. "I don't wanna hear anything more," she wanted her voice to sound harsh but it didn't and she couldn't understand why. She had every right in the world to be mad at him, why couldn't she? Why did a simple touch of him affect her that much?  It was simply unfair. He sighed, there was no way to talk to her. Never before he had suffered finding the right words, never but with her. "What do you want me to do Elizabeth? I'm your professor damn it." "Then freakin' act like one!" She shouted, hurt, already tired of 'I'm your professor' card. "I try. I try so damn hard but then I see you with that Alex boy and—" "And what? What does it have to do with you the fact that I stay with Alex?" She cut him off and he bit his bottom lip nervously. Was he jealous? She shook that idea out of her hear immediately. It wasn't possible. "Stop playing the dumb one, it doesn't suit you," he said, his eyes still with that unreadable expression but she could see a bit of irritation in them. "And you stop coming around confusing me," she found herself saying, even though she hadn't planned on doing it. "I get it, okay, you like playing and proving me things that don't even exist, but I don't." He raised his brow in surprise. "You think I'm playing?" "Isn't it obvious?" The seriousness and traces of hurt in her eyes were making him drop all this show and get her in his eyes, touch her, kiss her... "Oh Elizabeth you have no idea," he said before getting up and leaving, as she blinked several time to process in her head what he was talking about and he was leaving all of the sudden. "No idea about what?" She shouted but even though he heard it, he forced himself to not turn back.                                       ***   "We're going out today and you can't escape us anymore miss Elizabeth Brown," Mia shouted, removing the warm blanket from Liz's body while Liz start to complain to take it back. She had spent the whole Saturday in bed — except the hours she had to spend in the bar — and she was planning on doing so with her precious Sunday too. She wasn't sure why she was behaving like this but all she wanted was to be on her bed, eat, listen to music and cry for no particular reason. "Go without me," she shouted from the bed but Amber basically pushed her into the bathroom so she had no choice but to follow their orders and have a warm shower that made her feel a lot better. It cleared her head too and as much as she wanted to avoid it, she accepted the fact that she was in this condition because of Mr. Ambrose. That damned professor was playing with her mind and she hated it with all her being. However, she forced him out of her head and decided to dress up a bit since they were going out in New York streets, enjoying life as the young adults they were. She went with a casual winter vanilla colored dress, her brown coat and a beige beret with her usual black boots and red lipstick. Even though there were some traces of sadness in her eyes, she looked extremely good today. Alex and his roommate Jasper were waiting for them since an hour ago, but where's the surprise? It's not like they didn't expect them to be late whatsoever. A "woah," was left out from Jasper's mouth when he saw the girls walking towards them. "Why didn't I know she was this gorgeous?" He commented in Elizabeth's looks while Alex's eyes were stuck at her completely. "Get the girl already," he continued when he saw his friend’s change of expression when she was near. "Yes, only that she friend zoned me for someone that doesn't even have a thing for her," he answered bitterly, the reminder of that day upsetting him once again but there was no single idea on his head who that boy must’ve been. "Then try again today. You'll have all day with her," his friend said confidentially before the girls were standing in front of them, all three looking beautiful. They got in Jasper's car and started with the malls and thrift stores first, before spending their lunch at a beautiful Italian restaurant eating delicious pizzas and spending the afternoon walking around, visiting New York's most known tourist spots and ending up at the movies, watching Joker. One time Alex hold her hand so naturally and even though she wanted to kindly pull it away, not wanting to lead his hopes up, she couldn't. If she would she would regret it for he looked so happy that day and she couldn't be that selfish to rub the smile off his face. However, she had noticed his attention was at her most of the time the entire day and she honestly didn't know how to feel about it. But, she was happy for a fact; Mr. Ambrose was almost never in her head the entire day. Maybe this was it. Maybe it was just a stupid crush and nothing more. When Jasper dropped them in front of the campus, it was already dark and the moon was shining brightly. Amber and Jasper were helping Mia to get out of the car because she had hurt her foot late that afternoon, as Elizabeth and Alex were already outside, talking about some random thing — more like Alex talking and Liz hearing — until Alex cut off in the middle of the conversation. "Is that Mr. Ambrose?" He said and she stiffened at the reminder of him only.  Her eyes followed Alex's gaze and she felt things down her stomach when she saw him there, some steps away from them but enough to not hear their conversations, his back leaned on his black car as he was talking to someone in his phone and also... smoking. She had no idea he smoke and even though he looked extremely breathtaking like that, she hated the idea of his lungs getting sick or whatever..'So much for just a little crush, huh?  "Is it only me or are we seeing Mr. Ambrose in casual clothes?" Mia, whose waist was held by Amber, said surprised and only then it occurred to her mind that they had always seen him in suits. 'He’d look good naked too though.' Oh shut up Elizabeth. "The man's hot with or without his suits, I'm gonna give him that," Amber commented and everyone gave her a shocked look. Daniel shifted his gaze to their direction so naturally, only to find her there with her friends, the British boy one of them. He bit his lip, his attention all at her. She looked like she had flew here from Paris with that classy breathtaking outfit, only making it more impossible for him to not go there and claim her his. Meanwhile Jasper walked the couple to the dormitory, leaving Liz and Alex alone and it wasn’t hard for her to tell that they did this on purpose. However what they didn’t know was that she couldn't take her eyes of her professor instead. Out of nowhere she felt an inner desire to walk to him and give him a big kiss but she shook that idea out of her head real quick. "So, Liz," Alex finally drew her attention from him, "about today I... I just wanna say that I really enjoyed the time with you today," he finished and she closed her eyes at that statement. "And the others," she finished it for him. "Yeah, of course," he whispered embarrassingly, his eyes elsewhere. She immediately felt bad after saying it. "But I had a great time with you too. I hope there'll be other Sundays like this," she said only to catch him smile, feeling Mr. Ambrose's piercing green eyes penetrating her skin the whole time. Out of nowhere Alex made some steps closer, moved some of the hair from her face and gave her a light kiss in her cheek, leaving Liz completely shocked. Daniel ran his hands through his hair clenching his teeth tightly as he basically pushed his foot in the ground more so he wouldn't walk to them and make some things clear for that annoying pretty boy that she seemed to like this much. "Alex—" she mumbled but he cut her off. "It's okay Liz, I know. I just wanted you to know that whoever he is, if he doesn't appreciate you and shower you with love, he doesn't deserve you. And I hope you know there are people who are willing to do much more than him," he ended it with another kiss in her other cheek before saying 'goodnight' and getting into Jasper’s car, who by the time had returned and was waiting for his friend. They drove away, leaving her in the mercy of Mr. Ambrose’s gaze that to say was piercing her chest like a silver knife would be the understatement of the year. She stood there, some steps away from him, unable to move, unable to think or find the way to the dormitory as she saw his fist punch the car to the point he silently cursed because of how much it hurt. However, she found the power within herself to turn in her heels and leave, but that was only before she felt someone grab her wrist and pull her with him. “Mr. Ambrose,” she mumbled but he only gave her an angry look that made her brain not function to create other words for her to say. He opened the car door, pushing her inside the rear seat and himself after her and for once she was happy she could sit down because there was no way in the world her already weak knees could resist his intense gaze. He ran his hand through his hair furiously as the other hand was still grabbing her and she found herself wanting to be the one running her hands through his hair. He looked pissed. Even more, he looked like he was about to rip someone apart and that somehow scared her, but she knew her stomach was telling other things. “Mr. Ambrose... “ she repeated softly but it looked like she only waked the lion as his gaze became even more intense now, his jaw clenched and his eyes full of emotions, something rare to see. “Stop it. Just f*****g stop already!” He shouted at her as she gave him a shocked expression. “Stop what?” She mumbled, her voice so little and breathy. “Oh Elizabeth you so love to play too,” he whispered threateningly and seductively in the same time, his voice huskier and at that exact right moment she felt another grab to her waist, pulling her in his lap, her hands in his chest. “W-what are you d-doing?” She asked, her trembling voice a mirror of all her desires but she still tried to hold herself, as if it was even possible now. “Getting back what’s mine,” he whispered in her ear before putting his hands on her thighs, moving them up and down and if she had a little self control until now, it disappeared entirely as she felt herself moan, her body on flames. His eyes held now desire, lust and raw hunger and it turned her on even more. “Why were you with him? Why do you keep driving me insane?” He whispered in her ear but not that she was able to respond when he sucked in her earlobe and she let out a loud moan and grabbed his hair tighter. He chuckled, satisfied. She was thrusting her lower half in him wanting to create more friction down there as his hands everywhere in her body and his mouth in her neck were driving her completely insane, out of herself, out of this world. All she wanted was him, only him. “I was waiting for an answer, love, but these noises are enough for now,” he continued and she found herself wanting him to rip her dress apart and do things to her with his hands she hadn’t even dreamed about before, having no idea he desired this even more. His hands were going now higher under her dress and she moaned again and again, harder when he bit, sucked and licked her neck, leaving a hickey there. But his cellphone ringing waked them up from their intense erotic dream that they had both been dying to experience, bringing some senses to them as she went away from him and sat down in the seat beside him, trying to catch her breath and relax her euphoric body that wasn't agreeing to normalize itself. "What the f**k do you want?" Daniel demanded angrily, obviously mad to the one in his phone ruining the moment. After some seconds hearing what the other had to say, he snapped: "Not now Gus, I'll call you later!" Meanwhile the waves of guilt had hit Elizabeth hard and there was no way she could see him in the face now and not feel like she did the most forbidden thing in the world. "Elizabeth," he whispered softly seeing her in confusion. For the first time he thought she was giving him a chance, but he was mistaken. She was just out of control, but now that she was in her right mind again, this wasn't possible. "I- This shouldn't have happened," her voice almost cracked as she opened the car door. "It shouldn't have," she repeated as to ensure herself she was right and in a second, before he could stop her, she was out of the car, running to the dormitory. "f**k!" He cursed. "f**k, f**k, f**k!"                                       ***   When Elizabeth went back to her room, she looked pale and the tears were burning her throat, but she forced herself to stop them until she reached the bathroom door and closed it behind her. "Liz are you okay?" Amber talked from behind the door but she didn't respond as she felt angry tears running widely through her cheeks. But she wasn't angry at him now, not at all. She was angry only at herself, at the fact that however much she swore in her head she'd never let him break her wall again, she did. He had that effect on her, he was the only one that could make her lose control and there was no escape from it. But it felt like heaven, her body knew it all. It wanted him like it wanted oxygen to function. She was screwed, oh so screwed.
