Chapter Nine Inspector Antoni Giagkos laughed as he completed his report. In fact, he hadn’t stopped laughing since 8am that morning when the Mayor of Dromos, apoplectic with rage, called the station to reveal someone had superglued his house during the night, trapping him and his wife inside. If that wasn’t enough to make Antoni’s day, shards of broken glass had been stuck to every windowsill on the ground floor, presumably to make any attempt to escape through the windows just that little more challenging. The culprits, who could have been pranksters or criminals at that point, had also cut off the water to the house.
