Moving House
"Mom, I'm very satisfied with where I am. Why do we have to move? I have many friends there, I don't want to go anywhere."
The immature voice of a child about twelve years old was crying non-stop. Its appearance is no different from that of a difficult old woman.
"Due to the nature of the job, your father had to move somewhere else. Didn't he say it before? Don't act like I'm the one to blame." The mother put her hands on her hips, looking bored.
Originally, their accommodation was very good, but because of the work nature of the breadwinner in the family, they were forced to move. That's not what anyone wants.
"Instead of sitting there lamenting, why don't you come give me a hand?"
The silhouette of a thin girl constantly trying to move from one object to another into the house. No matter how harsh her words were, she did not lament a word. "You are an adult, how can you command a child like me?" it said while crying.
"If I continue to sit idle like this, I will definitely throw all these dolls away."
Caroline threatens her unruly sister. Cindy's favorite toy is a doll. If she insists on disobeying, just throw the doll in the trash.
"You always use this trick." Cindy expressed displeasure but then obediently went to help her sister.
After a while, everything finally fell into place. The house was soon no longer empty as before. Mother and daughter sat on the sofa, sweat drenching their foreheads.
The place they moved to was a house far away in a small alley. Although not too spacious, it is enough for four people. Besides, Caroline's father is a fisherman, so he spends all his time at sea, rarely having the opportunity to visit home. For her, her father's job was very dangerous. It is inevitable to feel heartbroken, sad, and worried when the blue sea waves. Little Caroline always secretly wished that the sea and islands would always be peaceful and smiling so that her father would be less stressed.
Someone once said that the fisherman is the soul of the sea. Because their souls are always imbued with the taste of the sea, from tan skin to love are full of ocean breath.
So, in the depths of her heart, dad is always the greatest hero.
Caroline thought for a moment, feeling a little worried, asked, "Mom, we are doing business here, is it okay?"
Her family opened a small stir-fried pho restaurant. If it was before, the shop would be crowded every day, even without a table to sit. But now it's different, the shop is located deep in a dead end, so few people know about it.
"I don't know either, so I can only burn incense and pray." Selina's mood became more and more complicated. She didn't know how long this little restaurant could last.
"I plan to continue the interview tomorrow. This time I will definitely be accepted."
For some reason, she still hasn't found a stable job. If Caroline hadn't been turned down when she applied, she wouldn't have worked for a long time.
It seems that opportunity has not smiled on her yet.
"Being patient is good." The mother gave a gentle, encouraging smile. She knows very well that this girl of hers is always trying non-stop. It's just that luck hasn't come yet.
"Can you two stop talking? I'm starving." Cindy sulked in her face.
All three of them have been busy and working hard ever since. When I looked at the clock, it was past lunchtime. Everything will be nothing to talk about, until…
"This last piece of meat must be mine." She screamed.
"Since just now, this plate of meat has been eaten by you all. Then it must be mine."
These two sisters are also very strange. Every day, they can't eat well and sleep well. Even the piece of meat had to be scrambled.
"You two stop now! It's just a piece of meat, is there any need to fight like that?" Selina slammed her hand on the table, making them both silent, not daring to say a word.
Otherwise, the broom will fly directly at the two sisters, then even if they want to ask God for help, they can't.
But who would have thought that the meat was soon enjoyed by a woman named Selina.
The two sisters just looked at each other and smiled helplessly.
Tomorrow morning,
Caroline got up very early to get everything ready. She stood silently looking at herself in the mirror, but still not completely satisfied.
She struggled to find a hair straightener. After that, I tried every way to straighten my hair, but the result still stopped at zero. So someone decided to give up.
Since birth, Caroline has inherited her father's bouncy hair. She went to many hair salons to ask for help but just a week later, her hair was back to normal.
It seems that Caroline soon adapted to this messy hairstyle.
She planned ahead and also selected several companies that suit her abilities. Despite being rejected many times, she still harbors a glimmer of hope. And never stop looking for opportunities for yourself. Will definitely get the fixed position!
The first company she interviewed was SYB. Although not too prominent, according to Caroline, the fashion style here suits her very well.
As soon as she entered, Caroline's eyes immediately met with a sparsely populated scene. She couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Thus, the rate of competition is not high.
Can Caroline justifiably become a member of SYB?
She gently went to get the registration number, then sat neatly on the seat next to her. But for some reason, when she held the document in her hand, Caroline's legs were shaking non-stop. Although this is not the first time going to an interview, she is very nervous.
She glanced around, which was filled with images of the design products that SYB had received awards for.
Unknowingly, Caroline wanted to be one of them. It brings pride not only to individuals but also to the whole company.
Suddenly, her number was called. Her chest felt tight, her heart felt like an invisible hand was beating.
Carine was so nervous that she staggered every step of the way.
She glanced at the two people in charge of the interview, and her heart couldn't help but tremble. Their expressions were so serious that it was scary.
She took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, telling herself that everything would be okay.
Caroline then placed the brochure neatly on the interview table, then returned to her seat.
Opposite was a woman about forty years old, next to a man about the same age. For some reason, their eyes kept staring at her, not leaving her for a second.
It's hard to understand.
"Caroline?" one of the two spoke up.
