PROLOGUE
The moon shone brightly, and few, sleeping stars could be seen that night. Despite the dense clouds, two hearts were reconnected.
"I'm pleased to see you again, my love," he said. His blue eyes were filled with adoration as he looked into the eyes of the beautiful woman in front of him. His snow-colored hair sways with each gust of the wind. His porcelain skin complemented his white kimono.
"I miss you so much. I thought I would never see you again." He was about to reach for her hand when the woman closed her eyes and tilted her head slightly.
She epitomizes a perfect masterpiece God has made; silver hair, almond eyes, a thin nose, and red, soft, and smooth lips. In addition, her stunning physical attributes were hidden by her white yukata which was adorned with red roses.
"I'm sorry but I guess this might be the end of everything between us. Don't think that I didn't love you; I'm just doing this for the benefit of both of you and my child," the woman said bitterly. She bent her head and caressed her belly. She has given it some thought, but it is difficult, especially now that she was in the circumstances.
He came to a stop. His soul was left in the midst of nowhere. The sharp ache he had just felt was like hundreds of spears piercing his heart. She claims it's her child. He wasn't sure if he understood correctly or if it was all in his cunning mind.
How can they produce children when there hasn't been any interaction between them?
Why is he in such pain if everything is all in his imagination?
He believed that his love for the only woman in the world would last forever, but eventually, everything came to an end.
"Tell me everything you said isn't true," he said in a low voice, but every letter of the words he spoke contained a hint of terror. He made a small bow. He gripped his chest as it suddenly tightened.
The woman continued to close her eyes, and a tiny tear began to form in every corner. However, she forced herself to hold back her tears. She promised herself that she would be strong for her child.
"I'm sorry, but that's the truth. I hope you understand my decision. I know it's hard, but I know deep in my heart that you can handle everything even if I'm gone." As she turned her back, her tears fell at the same time. It pained her to leave him but it was vital for everyone's sake.
His entire existence appeared to come crashing down. His hold on his chest became much more firm. He felt as though something was obstructing his chest and stopping him from breathing, but he forced himself to be strong and not give in to his feelings.
"Please, stay with me. I promise I will do everything just to make you happy." His eyes briefly begin to tear up for the first time. Later, he noticed that he was sobbing profusely.
He attempted to pursue her but was abruptly knocked off balance and writhed in agony. A little while later, red rushes started to appear and they ultimately developed into wounds that covered his entire body.
"Please, don't leave me. I love you so much." He extended his trembling hand toward the woman and cried for her name but she completely vanished.
He yearns to see her face, touch her skin and feel her lips next to him. He is dying to be with the one and only woman he loves, but in the end, all he has left is an unfulfilled vow.
