Prologue-Alois
For centuries Etolis, the immortal realm-maintained peace and tranquility throughout the land. An alliance was created centuries ago between the ruling families to maintain a peaceful balance. Word traveled across the land of the impending births of the next generation of rulers. It was foretold by the high priestess that these children would be more powerful than any before them. Amid their celebrations, they began preparations for a future alliance that would develop between two of the ruling families. The alliance made it a goal to protect the future of each child from the threat of the Jaegar clan. When rouge attacks began to rise and cross into the realm borders from the dark forest. It was suspected that the beginnings of war were starting to disturb the balance that was developed.
Cadoc, leader of the Jaeger clan; enemy to the entire immortal world, desired to destroy the human world and roam the earth freely to hunt as they wish and to create human slaves to meet his needs in the realm. If he could defeat the five families, this would provide him the freedom to achieve his goal and allow him to rule Etolis finally and rid the realm of the ruling families and destroy their alliance.
The Realm Council traveled to the lands of the Kuala Clan to meet to decide a strategy to keep war from reaching its borders and the fate of the next generation. The five families are the rulers of the Vampire Kingdoms; King Alois and Queen Keba, rulers of the Kuala Clan; in the western regions, King Aldrich and Queen Lorelei, rulers of the Visigoth Clan; in the eastern region. Alpha King Ohaval, Queen Aditi, pack Luna. Pack Beta Earl Conall, and his mate Lady Bedelia; rulers of the Black Moon Pack of the Black Mountain regions. Alpha King Aodlan, and his mate High Priestess, Queen Arielle; Rulers of the Ninurshe Coven of Necromancer, and the Crescent Moon Pack of the Green lands.
King Alois paced the stone floor tirelessly; he felt the weight of the stares from the council members on him. They were awaiting his decision. They debated for hours over the one solution that was sure to protect their children. It was the one choice that would cause them all great despair, but the only choice that would save their lives. Queen Keba watched her husband as he circled the room.
“Alois,” she called wearily, “we must decide,” He looked at Keba his mate, his guide through this immortal life, and knew that he never wanted to see the look of helplessness in her beautiful brown eyes. Slowly he walked over to her side,
“We will make a decision soon.” He answered heavily…………
