After a week of being home, things started to get back to some semblance of normal. Serenity spent a lot of her time at our little cottage, away from anyone who might be a threat to her or our child. She had me build her a little greenhouse, so she could start a herb garden to keep herself occupied, but she wasn’t comfortable being in the packhouse. At least not while she was pregnant. She kept herself hidden away and refused to let anyone in the pack know we were expecting. I couldn’t blame her, especially not after what we had already been through.
Thanks to Beau, we had a new doctor starting in our pack. She was one of Beau’s pack members who he had put through school. She went to the University of Pennsylvania. Which is apparently a really good school. She was top of her class,
