It’s been two weeks since I found out that once again I was pregnant, and two weeks since Alec left to go help find Addy and Sawyer, who was Hazel’s son. Zeke had called me several times over the course of the two weeks. Gio, Asher and Maddy called me as well. They were devastated, but I didn’t know how to comfort any of them. So, I listened. Hazel had confined herself to the attic where she tried in vain to use her magic to find them. Beau had all but clammed up in his search for their missing family members. I was pained by their loss and helplessness, but I held on to hope that they would find them soon.
In the meantime, I have developed several shadows in the form of Dakota, Charlie, Xander and Rhodes. Alec had employed them to follow me around as bodyguards. It was sweet,
